Chapter 80 - Chapter 80: Another Law?! Even Gods Don’t Have This...

A single clash.

Hela's goal was simply to test how deep Karl's current strength ran.

But…

This kid was unfathomable!

A sorcerer matching an Asgardian in raw power—and even taking the upper hand?

Was that something a person could do?

Hela was deeply shaken.

She couldn't understand it at all.

Fine—maybe he had comprehended the Law of Force.

But how could he use the Law of Force this well?

Last time, she already felt this brat wasn't simple.

Now it looked even more terrifying!

This talent was just absurdly monstrous.

Hela pressed her lips together, anger flaring.

As Asgard's Goddess of Death, it was rare for her to be humiliated.

Yet on Karl, she had been forced into a corner several times already.

Even so—

She would never admit defeat.

In Asgard, no one could defeat her!

Rage kept swelling in Hela's chest, accompanied by a burst of garbled sound like an impact rumble.

Green power flowed through her body, as if forming a green network beneath her skin.

"Midgardian, you've already glimpsed a talent that only gods with great power possess."

"Even back then, in the deep-layer dimensions, those innately mystical races were not your equal."

"But this ends here!"

"I'll let you see… the me at my peak!"

Hela roared.

A terrifying force surged within her.

Bang!

She slammed a hand downward.

Green deathly power expanded outward from her as the center.

However—

That power didn't harm anyone at all.

Even Thor and Loki were completely unharmed.

Just as Thor and Loki stared in stunned confusion, Karl's eyes moved slightly.

Hela's move made him think of something.

Back then, Hela was so formidable not only because of her own strength.

Not just because she herself was incredibly powerful—

But because…

Hela's subordinates were an almost endless army of death.

They had rampaged across the cosmos for who knew how many years.

Now—

It seemed Hela was turning her attention to that army again.

"Hiss!!"

"Roaaar!"

Sure enough.

A moment later, a massive howl came from the distance. Then the sounds linked together, rising and falling in waves.

"Come, my loyal soldiers."

"Tear the enemy before me into pieces! Let him fall forever into the realm of annihilation!"

Hela's voice rang out, high and commanding.

The ground began to tremble, as if something enormous was approaching.

"What is that sound? Why do I hear wolves?" Loki panicked at the noise.

"Obviously Fenris," Karl said flatly. "Hela's mount. A monster."

"You two didn't know that?" Karl added.

"Should we?" Loki blurted, still rattled.

Karl shook his head.

With a flick of his hand, a golden dome of earth formed, enclosing the two of them.

"For Odin's sake, you two just stay put."

After saying that, Karl turned to look at Hela.

"I really didn't expect the Goddess of Death to have a day where she bullies the few with the many."

"So the mighty Goddess of Death doesn't even have the courage to fight head-on anymore?"

Hela only looked at Karl coldly, not responding to his mockery.

Instead, green energy flickered and wrapped around her body.

It looked like she was repairing her injuries.

Clearly, Odin's attack earlier had indeed made her pay a massive price.

If this weren't Asgard,

Hela might already be dead.

Facing an opponent as strong as Karl, Hela stayed cautious and didn't get carried away.

Instead, she summoned her army to buy herself time.

Even Karl—her enemy—didn't care about the undead across from him.

A fitting mindset for the Goddess of Death.

A being who had once followed Odin in conquering the cosmos—

Her combat instincts were, without question, top-tier.

Still…

She herself was one thing.

But trying to use those troops to deal with him?

That was underestimating Karl by far.

"Hela, your biggest problem is that you're far too arrogant."

"Now I'll show you just how laughably weak that death army you're so proud of really is."

Karl spoke.

His body rose into the air, as if buoyant like a balloon, floating upward.

In the distance, an undead army in black armor charged in from far away.

At the very front—

A gigantic wolf, as tall as two buildings.

Karl hovered in midair, completely unmoved.

Unhurried, he murmured softly:

"Sacred Sword of the Vishanti!"

He pulled to the side with one hand.

A platinum-white holy sword was drawn into his grasp.

This time, Karl didn't rush in for close combat.

Instead, he raised the sacred sword high.

The next instant—

A milky-white radiance poured out of the blade.

The light illuminated more than a thousand meters around them, like another sun had risen in the sky.

Yet this milky-white light wasn't harsh.

It was gentle.

Thor and Loki, lying on the ground, only felt a cool breeze brush across their faces.

Even the injuries inside their bodies eased a little.

Hela, on the other hand, understood far more than they did.

"What?! The Law of Light!"

"You've comprehended two Laws!!"

"How is that possible?!"

Hela shrieked, her expression twisting.

And as she screamed—

The charging death army began to scream too.

Under the milky-white radiance,

the death army had no ability to resist at all.

Their bodies slowly melted, as if they had fallen straight into molten lava.

They seemed to be crushed apart—

Turning into charcoal, then cracking and crumbling piece by piece.

In only a short while, nothing remained. Not even ash.

Fenris, the giant wolf leading them, met an even more miserable end.

When the milky-white radiance fell upon it,

its fur dulled, its skin decayed, its flesh rotted away.

Fragments peeled and dropped from its body piece by piece.

The description here is clearly garbled, but the intent is that it suffered a brutal, flaying-like disintegration.

A monster that could wrestle Hulk—

A beast whose sharp teeth could bite through Hulk's skin—

Before it even reached Karl, it instantly became dust.

"Hela."

"What other trump cards do you have?"

Karl's voice stayed calm.

Hela's face was ugly.

Thor and Loki were completely stunned, as if they'd lost the ability to think.

Hela's power was already terrifying enough.

But this Midgard sorcerer looked even more freakish.

In their eyes, that overwhelmingly powerful death army—

Was erased so easily, in a single move?

How could that not be horrifying?

Thor even felt that

this sorcerer's strength might already be closing in on his father Odin.

How old was this guy?

He was a monster.
