"Yes.....yes....that place...gently...gently...."
Covie snapped the dislocated bone back to Mysty's back and fired a healing wave at it, fully recovering the injury. Mysty felt much much much better.
"Got it, now it won't dislocate again no matter how hard you move it."
"Ahhh...thanks Covie...."
Yesterday, Mysty's back bone dislocated again when she is asleep due to the rub didn't reach that part of the injury despite Covie healed her back.
"Rhea is a freak! She just threw Mysty on the ground like she is a toy! Brother! I am fed up with her!"
"She's right though.....if I don't retract my limbs quick enough the enemies will sure do worse."
"What do you mean by that? She had went too far! And you think that make sense?"
"Of course I'm mad too, but she is right about it....."
Albur groaned in frustration as he slammed his rifle.
"Woah, buddy chill! Don't undergo vandalism!" Havoc yelled in fear.
"You're not a public item...."
Albur sighed and walked out of the room. He went to the dining table and grabbed a nutrient capsule and swallowed it. He looked around, and he can't find Johnson and Rhea anywhere.
Albur walked around in the moon hut, until he passed by a room that have metal cranking sounds coming out. He was curious of what made it, before he opened the door, he knocked on it.
"Who's that?" It is Johnson's voice.
"John, its me, Albur."
"Oh.....come in."
Albur opened the door. He took a step in but nearly get tripped by a gear on the floor. In the room, Johnson is sitting on a chair, holding his special wrench. Next to him is a tall metal pillar.
"What are you doing here?"
"Oh, I'm making something that can help you in your training."
Albur looked at Johnson in confusion. Johnson stood up and walked tk him.
"See this metal pillar?"
Albur turned his head towards the pillar and nodded.
Johnson then took out a remote and pressed it.
Then, the pillar started to change its form. Arms started growing out, legs begun to stretch out. It turned from an ordinary pillar into a giant metal puppet with rotatable upper torso with two arms carrying 2 metal sticks and a waist that can bounce the whole upper body foward using elastic force.
"Oh...damn...."
"This is the best I could make, at least it will be better than punching real monsters or training with Rhea. "
"You had been staying up to make this?"
"Yeah, compared to the first infection, this one is much easier to make, I can find lots of parts around here."
Albur admired the puppet, but he sighed.
"I don't feel like training though..."
Johnson stared at him in confusion.
"What's wrong?"
Albur explained the whole thing about Rhea throwing Mysty onto the ground to Johnson.
"What? I didn't know that! That happened yesterday?"
"Yeah."
"That woman is a menace!"
"I know right!"
"Though, ugh, her reason of doing that is so reasonable I can't say anything about it. My sis is reasonable like her but she would never go this far."
"I really hate how she trains. Its like forcing me to perform well."
"Forget about that woman, is Mysty alright though?"
"She's fine, Covie healed her."
"That's a relief."
Johnson turned the puppet back into the metal pillar.
"Try to use it, it will be useful."
"Thanks."
Albur pushed the pillar out of the room and let it rest on the floor. Johnson grabbed a nutrient capsule from the resource box and swallowed it.
The girls exited the medic room. Mysty handed Albur his rifle that he left in the room.
"Are you alright to fight now?"
"Yeah, I am."
Johnson looked around in the moon hut.
"Where's Rhea?"
Albur shrugged, Johnson searched the whole hut, but there's no one other than the four of them and the survivor.
The crew stepped out of the moon hut. Albur stared at the buildings as he reloaded his rifle.
"You know this thing auto reloads don't you?" Asked Havoc.
"Of course I know, I'm just making sure the rifle is loaded. Plus its cool isn't it?"
"You're not cool."
Albur frowned. Covie put the moon hut onto the trolley and held onto the handle. The crew is ready to move on, but they didn't see Rhea anywhere.
"Where the hell is that cyborg?"
"Master! Language!"
"I know, I know."
The crew walked around trying to find Rhea, then, they heard metal creaking noises. They followed the noise and found that its Rhea, doing pull ups on a metal bar using her pinkie finger. After a few more pull ups, she let go and landed on the ground.
"Now that's all ten fingers done with 500 pull ups."
Rhea rotated her wrist and turned around, only to find the crew staring at her from behind a wall.
"You're all ready."
Albur clicked his tongue and looked away. Mysty took a few steps back and wrapped her arms around her body.
"So, I heard you committed a crime yesterday?" said Johnson in a mocking tone.
Rhea walked to him and poked his head, making it tilt.
She looked at Mysty, who avoided eye contact with her, she sighed and took out the energy detector.
""Let's move, we're near the next core."
Rhea walked away, the crew followed her.
As they approached closer and closer to the next core, they found out that they encounter lesser and lesser virus lifeforms. Most of them are little consumer lifeforms. The energy detector's beeping noise got more frequent and loud.
Suddenly, Johnson's alarm rang, glowing bright red light and emitting loud noises.
"John? What's wrong?"
"Huh, there's no glit- wait....."
Johnson shut the alarm, and looked around, then, he realized something, and quickly lied flat on the ground.
"Duck! We have incoming!"
The rest of the crew quiixkly dropped onto the ground and lied flat. Rhea stared at them like she's staring at a group of morons. Johnson quickly pulled her leg, making her fall on the ground. After a while, a swarm of AC-23 virus mutated glitches floated on the air above them. A few of them left the swarm and floated around the area the crew is hiding. Then, one of them spotted a broken CI television. It entered its body.
Then, the CI TV opened, its screen flickered purple lights. Then, a robotic arm emerged from it side, then another, and then another. It stopd up on all fours, the giant screen fell off, leaving a small part of the screen still showing statics. The screen then split open, revealing a mouth with purple saliva and razor sharp teeth. It stomped onto the ground and let out a bloody screech.
The crew waited for the other mutated glitches to fly away before standing back up and killed the TV virus lifeform.
"You gave me a heart attack, what's with that alarm on your head?"
"That's my glitch detector, it alerts me when it detects high glitch energies in a 20 meter radius. "
"Huh, looks stupid, like straight out from a cartoon."
"Excuse me?"
"Guys."
Mysty slightly raised her voice. The 2 glared at each other and looked away.
At last, after another half an hour, they reached the location of the next core, a huge factory.
The crew apprached to the entrance. Rhea punched the sealed factory door constantly and finally broke it at the third punch.
"The second core should be here, the energy readings spiked."
The rest of the crew stood in the middle of the factory, looking at the huge building crawled with fibrous purple substances from the inside.
"Should we split up? This giant factory will be a hard work if we explore each place in a group."
"That's a good idea. "
"Yeah, that could work."
The crew agreed to split up. They each chose a path in the factory to look for the core.
