The crew followed Rhea who is following the directions given by the energy detector. The moon hut is on the trolley that is following the crew. While they walk, Albur is still slicing the air and playing with the Shadow Blade.
"You look so happy right now, it's just a sword." Havoc stared at Albur.
"You don't know, Havoc, only having my rifle is so stressful in fights. I only get a melee weapon when I use the Prismatic Blade, and I couldn't even release its full potential. Now I have this Shadow Blade, I can train my skills! And I won't struggle with melee combat now!"
Covie chuckled bitterly, looking at Albur continuing to swing the sword.
"I never imagined he would be this happy."
Mysty looked at Covie for a while.
'She changed...' she thought to herself.
Covie then looked at Mysty,
"Do you like yours though? I feel like I gave Albur too much upgrade."
"Oh, its great! My taser and grapple hook literally became a power up to my pistols. I don't have to put down my pistol and look for them anymore, it reduced the gap for opponents for a lot."
"And your kicks could deal more damage now."
"Though, I am wondering will it stuck in the opponent when it hits them."
The crew passed a few streets that is also crawling with virus lifeforms. Some of the areas have humps everywhere on the floor. Rhea documented some footages to be used for investigation when they get to contact with UTD again.
The fourth and fifth core is around the metro stations of Xectar City. The crew walked for an hour, they returned to the center of the city. But to their surprise, many skyscrapers are missing.
Xectar City is a city where the number skyscrapers are ridiculous, and now, most of them are just....gone. The city feels empty, and open.
"Where are all the buildings?"
Suddenly, the ground shook, the energy detector detected large amount of virus energy.
"Oh no, what now?"
The crew looked around with their weapons drawn out. Then, the ground shook again, they turned to their left, and spotted a skyscraper of Xectar City, its moving, slowly towards their location. The crew hid behind a building, and peeked out from behind.
The trembling got more and more intense as the building slowly approached the crew. When the building walked around another building, the crew can see why is it moving now. It have legs, or tentacle as legs, 4 of them, attached on it, eyeballs filled the window of the building, just like the research laboratory that came alive.
"What did we name this thing again?"
"A tower lifeform. "
The tower lifeform glanced at the crew, and walked away slowly. Rhea scanned the tower lifeform again.
"Its emotions are stable....it doesn't appear to be hostile..... "
Suddenly, the building they hid behind started moving and cracking as well, the crew quickly backed away. The building stood up with its tentacles, and just walked away. Then, even more trembling occurred time to time.
The crew realized that this area is filled with tower lifeforms. Some poor little virus lifeforms were squashed by the massive giants, some are even disabled due to their limbs being stepped on. Even worse, their food which they got from an intense battle with another pack was just being squished by the unaware giants.
Some angry virus lifeforms screeched at the tower lifeforms. When it turned around and stare at those little virus lifeforms, the virus lifeforms backed away in fear. Some extremely brave virus lifeforms hopped onto the tentacles of the tower lifeforms and bit its tentacle. It didn't even flinch, just kept walking casually.
The crew watched them in silence.
"Well, at least we know that they aren't aggressive."
"That's good news, you don't wanna provoke these big boys."
"We still gotta be careful, they are peaceful, not harmless. Plus, if we got stepped on, its game over."
The crew slowly walked pass those giants and continued to move on.
The crew's face was filled with sweat as they walk past the giant tower lifeforms. Every split second you look away from the tentacles of the tower lifeforms might be the last second you have in your life.
The crew navigated through the gather area of the tower lifeforms and made it put safely. But then, suddenly. The ground trembled, it is super intense, it is almost like a huge earthquake.
"My god! What now?"
The crew looked around, then, Covie spotted a building moving from afar. The building is also a tower lifeform, except it is a bit smaller. Also it isn't walking like its kind, it is running. As it approached closer, the ground shook more intensely. Sink holes appeared due to the weak ground structure destroyed by the intense shaking.
The other tower lifeforms looked at the panicked running tower lifeform. The crew was confused, but then, they heard a loud roar.
A roar echoed across the tumor.
The crew turned their head towards the direction the roar is coming from. And to their horror, its the monster. The human voice mimicking entity with Johnson's shell. The crew quickly hid in some building ruins with their weapons drawn out. The monster roared as it fired the minigun attached on its right arm. The tower lifeform didn't stop, it just kept running. The other tower lifeforms made way for it to run.
"You...t-there....come...b-b-back here!"
The monster stared at the other tower lifeforms, which were also terrified to see it. It screeched, and continued to chase the running tower lifeform. At last, it pounced, and grabbed onto one of the tentacles of the running giant.
It bit onto its tentacle, the tower lifeform paused for a while. It gave out a bellow in pain. It stomped its tentacles, desperated to try and get rid of the entity. It continued to run, and even though it managed to get the entity off its tentacle, it still roared as it continued to chase it.
The crew slowly walked out of their hiding spot, ensuring the monster is gone. They are still trembling, as the monster's roar echoed again across the tumor.
"Man, that monster is terrifying."
"You guys keep calling that monster, monster, why not come up with a better name?"
The crew stared at Havoc.
"Then you give a good one."
Havoc thought for a second.
"Since it smells like sewers, let's just call it Siwel."
The crew looked at the direction 'Siwel' headed towards. They could still hear it roar, and after a while, an extremely loud collapse sound followed by intense trembling and a bellow happened. The crew swallowed saliva,
"Siwel..."
The crew quickly left the area, Siwel's roar is getting louder and louder.
