The Merus boss stepped forward, his aura crushing the air.
It has activated it's merus form.
Merus Boss:
"Enough! Fall back, you weaklings!"
"Killing them doesn't take this long—
watch me finish them one by one."
The Reberu 7 Merus monster entered the battlefield.
The pressure instantly doubled.
Merus Boss:
"Black Thunder."
A massive black cloud formed above Akaimo's team.
Lightning crashed down relentlessly, striking the ground again and again.
Jeisuke:
"This move is dangerous—don't let it hit you!"
The team scattered, sprinting through the forest as the cloud chased them, thunder tearing the earth apart behind them.
Shino:
"Head straight for him! It's his own technique—
if we get close, he'll be forced to cancel it!"
Without hesitation, the entire team charged directly toward the Reberu 7 monster.
The Merus boss clicked his tongue.
The black cloud vanished.
Merus Boss:
"Tch… then take this!"
He raised his hand and pointed straight at Jeisuke, dark energy gathering at his fingertips.
The attack was about to fire—
CRACK!
A bamboo staff slammed into his side.
It was Akaimo.
The boss staggered, eyes widening in surprise.
For the first time—
The Reberu 7 monster had been interrupted.
Merus Boss:
"You ugly brat!!!"
In a flash, he appeared before Akaimo and drove his fist straight into him.
BOOM!
Akaimo's body flew through the forest, smashing through tree after tree.
Akaimo:
"Ughhhhhh!!"
Jeisuke:
"You bastard!!"
Jeisuke slammed his hand forward.
Jeisuke:
"Thousands of Leaves!"
A storm of razor-sharp leaves tore through the air, slicing into the Reberu 7 monster from all directions.
The boss snarled.
Merus Boss:
"Psychic Push!"
An enormous invisible hand slammed into Jeisuke at terrifying speed.
For a moment, it felt like his soul was being ripped out of his body.
CRASH!
Jeisuke was launched straight into a massive rock, the impact shaking the ground.
Silence fell.
Only Momoshimo and Shino remained standing on the battlefield.
Then—
A shadow moved behind the boss.
A battered, bloodied Akaimo stepped forward.
With everything he had left, he drove the sharp bamboo straight into the monster's chest—
right toward the heart.
Merus Boss:
"AAAGHHHH!!!"
"That hurts!! Didn't I smash you through the trees?!
How are you even standing?!"
Akaimo raised his head, eyes calm despite the pain.
Akaimo:
"You'll never know."
Momoshimo attacked from behind.
Momoshimo:
"Rockic Punch!"
He struck the monster's face, sending it flying backward.
Before the monster could hit the ground—
Jeisuke:
"Ground Break Bamboo!"
The earth erupted violently. Dozens of sharp bamboo spears burst upward, piercing the monster's body and tearing holes through it midair.
The monster was already on the verge of death, but—
Jeisuke (thought):
If I miss this move, I won't have the energy to use another one… and we'll be finished.
Jeisuke:
"Greenish Slash!"
The wounded monster tried to escape, but the green, razor-sharp energy sliced straight through its throat, severing its head completely in mid air.
Silence.
Jeisuke:
"Wait… did we just defeat a Merus Reberu 7 monster?
Are we dreaming?"
Shino:
"As far as I know, this can only be called a miracle.
The monster underestimated us… that's what caused its defeat.
If it had taken us seriously from the start… the outcome could have been very different."
Momoshimo then set the entire monster camp on fire.
