Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: The Auction House

Under Draco's explanation Caroline wavered.

"But I still wanted to rely on it to break through to Magister."

"Kid, leaning on outside help for everything won't take you far—trust yourself."

Persuaded, Caroline agreed to the deal.

And when Draco produced over three hundred magic potions, the bargain felt brilliant.

That wasn't the end.

Next, the freshly tidied counter sprouted all kinds of magic scrolls.

There were single-use teleport scrolls, one-off storage scrolls, plus defense, attack, support—everything.

These were unique to Nazarick; no one in this world possessed the technique.

After Draco explained their functions, everyone was shocked anew.

The Old Man exclaimed repeatedly,

"Cross-century paraphernalia—unbelievable!"

"Even the Empire's R&D department couldn't craft scrolls like these."

"Kid, who exactly are you?"

"Heh, I won't ask you, so don't ask me."

Draco smiled without answering.

The Old Man started, pondered a moment, then said, "Understood."

Aicia found their riddle-like exchange odd.

"What are you two talking about?"

The Old Man merely smiled, neither denying nor confirming.

Draco simply replied, "Your IQ wouldn't get it."

"Hmph, I don't even care to know."

Ignoring her, Draco told Caroline,

"That's all for now; I'll send more later."

"You've got more?"

"Just another hundred million drops."

"Oh, and take this."

Draco pulled an exquisite scroll from his robe.

This is a sealing scroll, capable of sealing any magic within it.

It can save the chanting time for magic.

It can even instantly cast Super-Tier Magic.

Currently, this scroll contains Draco's Super-Tier Magic, 'Summon Celestial Army'.

This item is very rare; it's the only one.

"It has a spell sealed inside. If you encounter danger, crush it."

Draco had no one to spare to protect her right now, so this scroll was enough.

Besides, there was a mysterious old man here, so it wasn't a big problem.

"Thank you, Master!"

Caroline took the scroll and carefully put it away.

"I still have some special-grade equipment. Do you need any?"

Draco mentioned it casually, but it made Caroline's eyes light up.

"Yes!"

Another series of

This time the quantity wasn't as exaggerated, only about twenty or thirty pieces.

But each one was a masterpiece.

The equipment Draco wore was of this caliber.

He naturally had better, but that would be too ostentatious.

"Wow, what a beautiful magic cloak."

"I really want this Ice Crystal Staff."

"There's even the rarest magic jewelry; this necklace is so beautiful."

Caroline excitedly rummaged through the pile of equipment, getting more and more thrilled as she picked.

As if all these things belonged to her.

Draco saw through her thoughts and warned, "Don't think about pocketing them."

"Don't worry, I have a good reputation."

Caroline patted her chest and promised.

However, her expression looked a bit off no matter how you looked at it.

Finally, another hour was spent organizing these miscellaneous items.

And after setting the price for each item, everyone realized.

The items Draco brought were actually worth as much as 5000 gold coins.

That was equivalent to the entire assets of a small country.

This made Caroline uneasy for several days afterward.

After handling these matters, Aicia led Draco towards the Black Market Auction House.

Draco still had the two most valuable legendary-grade items to sell.

At the end of the street was a huge circular building.

The first floor was the Colosseum, the second floor was the Auction House, and the basement was the Slave Market.

No one knew who built this building, but it was just like a shopping mall in the real world.

"Master, we're about to go in."

Aicia pulled Draco.

"What's wrong?"

"Uh, the entry fee here alone is as high as 1 gold coin. I've never been in, so I'm not familiar with it, hehe."

"..."

Draco's mouth twitched. "I'll pay the entry fee, is that okay?"

"Haha, Master is so generous. Let's go, let's go, I'll also go in and see the world today."

After paying two gold coins, the two directly entered the Colosseum on the first floor.

Many people had already gathered here.

It was completely different from the smoky, noisy, and chaotic scene Draco had imagined.

The Colosseum was very quiet, all the guests sat in the audience seats, staring intently at the arena.

Draco looked up.

In the arena, a bare-chested big man stood. His body was covered in scars, and he looked like he had suffered a lot of torture.

The big man's opponent was a blind giant tiger.

Every time the big man narrowly dodged the giant tiger's attack, the audience would exclaim repeatedly.

Draco speculated that most of those who came here were mentally twisted nobles.

Those noblewomen, noble young ladies, and the like seemed to particularly enjoy this kind of thing.

Draco didn't pay much attention and walked straight to the second floor.

The second floor was also quite spacious, and a waiter greeted them as they entered.

"Welcome, what service do you require?" the waiter asked respectfully.

She was actually wearing a split cheongsam with an Oriental charm. Hmm, her thighs were quite fair.

"I have two pieces of equipment I'd like to auction."

"Please follow me."

Draco and Aicia followed the waiter to the reception room on the second floor.

Soon, an energetic appraiser in a suit walked in.

He first politely greeted Draco and Aicia, then sat down.

"Which two items are you planning to put up for auction?"

Draco took out Razen's magic robe and staff.

There was even a little bloodstain on the clothes.

"This is..." The appraiser seemed a little surprised. "Could this be legendary-grade equipment?"

"That's right."

The appraiser rubbed his hands excitedly.

As a treasure appraiser, he knew full well what legendary-grade equipment represented.

They were treasures that could become national-level artifacts.

Of course, 'national' here refers to small countries; for the Eastern Empire, they wouldn't be much to look at.

"Sir, the equipment is fine, but what about this bloodstain...?"

"We're already doing business in the black market, what do you think?"

"Understood, understood."

"Then, as the auction house's appraiser, can I set the reserve price at 1500 gold coins per item?"

"Yes, just set it as you see fit."
