The Mystery Beyond the Red Cliff Mountains [Part 2]
"Could she really have come from beyond the desert?"
Brinda stared at the reports spread across her desk.
The thought sounded ridiculous.
And yet, no matter how many times she tried to dismiss it, the possibility refused to leave her mind.
There was another source of information she hadn't paid much attention to at first.
A Holy Maiden.
The woman had spoken about the lands beyond the Red Cliff Mountain Range in a way that didn't sound like the usual accounts of travelers. There had been something different about how she described the western regions. Something that had caught Brinda's attention only after she'd begun piecing together the other reports.
According to the information Brinda had gathered, the Holy Maiden had divided the western lands into two broad categories.
The ancient lands.
And the newer lands.
It was an unusual distinction.
