Elara's gaze remained on the bags.
This was getting a little too much. At this rate, if it didn't stop, Zia was going to ask for a kingdom one day. This had been her lifestyle for weeks now. Going out with Harris, then coming back with all sorts of things.
"Elara, Scary Suit Uncle bought me another goldfish!" Zia giggled, swinging Adrian's hand back and forth.
Elara sighed again. This was really starting to make her uncomfortable. Adrian had bought her a goldfish before. The goldfish later died because Zia tried feeding it chocolate. Wasn't this new goldfish going to end up the same way?
Even now, everywhere in the house was full of Zia's things, and soon it might start looking like a toy store.
"You're spoiling her," Elara muttered at last, finally looking up at Adrian.
He didn't say anything at first. Then he gave a short snort. "She likes goldfish."
Elara sneered inwardly.
