A few days later, the first letter arrived. Dulce had only met one witch other than Miss Moira and that had been the Vampire by Aylin's side. The Vampire witch hadn't been able to undo his summons but perhaps she would have some useful knowledge on the matter.
Even though Dulce hadn't even bothered to glance at the Vampire Queen's letter before they left the royal castle in Marlen, he simply sent her a letter, requesting an audience with the Vampire witch.
Dulce scanned the letter, a frown gracing his lips. Traveling to Alderth with vampiric speed would only take a short while, it was a journey he had been prepared to make, not at all expecting Aylin to send a letter stating that she was in Dewmire for his sake.
Dulce glanced out the window of his study, it was morning, light grey clouds covering the sky. He rose to his feet to prepare to go down to the village, Aylin was already here, there was no reason not to meet with her.
