In a world similar to our own, an event of unprecedented nature occurred.
A massive wave of energy swept across the entire planet, and as a result, countless changes began to manifest.
New continents emerged, the oceans expanded, and colossal trees grew so tall that they pierced the clouds. Many other supernatural phenomena followed.
A few years later, some humans began to develop extraordinary abilities: the power to fly, to manipulate the elements, to possess superhuman strength, and many other gifts. Even animals were affected and gained abnormal powers of their own.
In one city, a mysterious portal opened and remained active for several days. At first, nothing happened. Then, some people began to enter it—but none of them ever returned. The government quickly sealed off the area to prevent anyone else from going inside.
Several days later, monsters emerged from the portal and began attacking civilians. A fierce battle erupted between humans and monsters. At first, humanity held the advantage.
Then, a final monster stepped out of the portal.
It slaughtered a large number of humans on the spot, shifting the tide of battle. The monsters took control.
"Admire my absolute power, humans. Kneel before us, and we shall grant you a painless death," said the monster.
At that very moment, a blinding white light appeared.
Dozens of monsters were violently thrown into the air, and a group of individuals materialized on the battlefield.
"Hoh hoh hoh… so these are the famous monsters?" — Unknown 1
"I'm going to cut these creatures into tiny pieces." — Unknown 2
"I'll finally be able to fill my collection with interesting corpses." — Unknown 3
"Calm down. We're here to get rid of these things." — Unknown 4
The last monster from the portal slowly approached the group.

"Come on. I'll entertain you." — Unknown 1
A violent clash erupted between the group and the monsters.
The battle raged on for several days.
In the end, the group emerged victorious.
The final monster lay on the ground, completely drained of energy.
"Impossible… How could I fall to mere insects… I, Dromak the Black Boar… end like this?!" — Dromak
The group approached the fallen monster, and one of them stepped forward.
"It was a hell of a fight, but it's time to finish this." — Unknown 1
"Before you kill me… at least tell me your name." — Dromak
"Yoma Sekyhiro." — Yoma
"Remember my words, Yoma… more portals will open. Beings like me will cross into your world… until your race is completely exterminated… hahaha…" — Dromak
In the next instant, Yoma delivered a devastating punch, his fist charged with dazzling light.

"Still, what he said is true. We must prepare carefully for the coming invasion." — Unknown 4
"Don't worry. I'll slice them all into sashimi." — Unknown 2
"Put your sword away before you hurt someone." — Unknown 5

"It's simple. We get ready to smash some demons." — Yoma
The group began to leave, but suddenly one of them stopped the others.
"Wait. I'm going to collect these corpses for my collection." — Unknown 3
A massive magic circle formed on the ground, glowing intensely.
"Echo of the Limbo." — Unknown 3
The corpses of the fallen monsters began to shine, and from most of them, spectral forms slowly emerged.
However, the spell did not affect Dromak.
"You're a stubborn one… but you won't resist the call of purgatory." — Unknown 3
Dromak's lifeless body began to glow, and a spectral entity was finally extracted.

Suddenly, the portal closed behind them.
The surviving civilians emerged from their hiding places and began cheering for their saviors.
Thus, the very first group of Hunters was born.
Soon after, other individuals formed their own hunting groups, which later evolved into guilds.
But the strongest of them all remained the very first.
They were renamed The Eternals.
