The two of us stepped inside a small cafeteria near the station.
A soft bell rang above the door as we entered.
It wasn't very crowded.
We ordered our food before sitting near the window.

Kira slowly stirred her drink before looking at me.
"...You're really quiet."

She nodded.
"...A little."
I looked away slightly.
"...Sorry."
Kira laughed softly.
"...You apologize a lot too."
For some reason—
hearing her laugh made me relax a little.
The sunlight coming through the window reflected softly in her eyes.

I blinked.

"You were staring again."
