Darrius still felt glued to his seat, even as Ann's body started convulsing.
How could this be real?
Pip snarled again and barked viciously, bringing Darrius to his senses.
As Ann's body jerked in a frenzy, suddenly some metallic tube began to rip through the skin of her neck. Ann froze as if this somehow effected her. She reached over and clutched the knife on the table. Darrius wasn't about to wait for what happened next.
He grabbed her wrist, the top of her head, and smashed it full force into the table. Darrius fully expected a blow like that to stop Ann. He noticed her hair had ripped away from the scalp, along with half of her face. Silver looking plates showed under the ripped skin and wires spilled from Ann's face.
Horrified, Darrius watched as her "eyes" bulge and slowly popped from the sockets. Two glowing red lights pierced from her skull where it's eyes were.
Ann was somehow sort of... machine? She let out more metallic shrieks and covered her face. It seemed... ashamed? The machine slashed blindly in the air with the knife. Darrius took the opportunity to turn and run furiously to his bike. He was afraid to turn back.
As he got to his bike and switched his motor on high, Darrius prayed it was fast enough to outrun Ann's foreign technology.
Pip howled in pain behind Darrius. Darrius stopped to look back. He hated to imagine to imagine what could happen to poor Pip.
What could I do?
He heard the mechanical hum closing in closer to him. Darrius hesitantly decided it was better to leave.
