Chapter 64 - Chapter 64: Ending the Battle

Just then, the ground shook violently!

Sandile, timing it perfectly, burst out from under Druddigon's feet. A fierce Dig attack accurately struck Druddigon's hind leg, which was supporting its body.

Already unstable, Druddigon completely lost its balance, and its massive body crashed to the side!

The out-of-control blue Energy Ball from its mouth grazed Inkay's body and flew off, slamming into the distant sand and blasting a large pit.

Inkay broke out in a cold sweat, patting its small belly with lingering fear.

"Now! Full power!"

"This guy's skull is the hardest; avoid its red head."

Jiang Han's eyes flashed, and he decisively gave the order for a full assault.

This opportunity must not be missed, for it will not come again!

Sandile leaped out of the hole, opened its large, tooth-filled mouth, and bit into Druddigon's exposed belly as it lay on the ground.

Sneasel, not letting up, its claws gleaming coldly, rained down Ice Punch after Ice Punch on Druddigon's neck and lower back, bringing forth sprays of blood.

The floating Inkay was not to be outdone, throwing Psycho Cut as if they were free, each one precisely slicing into the cracks on Druddigon's body, deepening its injuries.

"Roar...awoo..."

Druddigon let out its last, unwilling roar, its voice changing from high-pitched to weak, finally falling completely silent.

Its single eye stared fixedly at Jiang Han, filled with venom and resentment, then slowly closed. Its massive body crashed heavily to the ground, utterly silent.

The battle was over.

Jiang Han let out a long breath, his taut nerves finally relaxing. He walked to Druddigon's corpse, pulled out a red and white Poké Ball, and threw it.

The Poké Ball touched Druddigon, a red light flashed, but it was repelled by an invisible force and rolled to the ground.

"Hmm?"

Jiang Han frowned.

He walked closer, looking at the dying Druddigon, which had only one breath left.

Its single eye was half-open, and the emotion emanating from it was not fear, but pure, bone-deep unwillingness.

Jiang Han understood instantly.

Yes, how could it be willing?

If not for the sneak attack by those three Voltorb, his three pokémon alone would likely have struggled to even break its rock-like skin.

It was unwilling, unwilling to be defeated in such a humiliating manner.

But Jiang Han had no interest in playing a sympathetic role with a pokémon.

For him, this kind of Druddigon couldn't be tamed, so for Jiang Han, its defeat had only two uses.

Either it was captured by Jiang Han in a Poké Ball and exchanged for Team Rockets points.

Or, it died tragically, becoming nourishment for Jiang Han's pokémon.

In this world, the victor is king, the loser is a bandit.

The process is not important; the outcome is everything.

He picked up the Poké Ball, weighed it in his hand, and his gaze turned cold.

"Last chance."

A cold voice echoed in the silent oasis night.

He threw the Poké Ball again.

Red light flashed, still repelled.

Druddigon used its last ounce of strength to let out a low growl from its throat, expressing its contempt and defiance.

"Heh."

Jiang Han chuckled lightly and put away the Poké Ball.

He no longer looked at Druddigon, merely giving Sandile and Sneasel a look.

That look was simple: do it, end it.

Sandile understood, baring its gaping maw, and approached step by step.

Sneasel slowly raised its gleaming claws, its crimson eyes devoid of any pity.

He turned and walked towards the cave with Inkay.

Behind him, there was the'squelch' of claws tearing through flesh, and the 'Crunch' of bones being bitten through.

There were no screams; everything happened very quickly.

Jiang Han's steps did not falter, as if everything happening behind him had nothing to do with him.

He didn't come here just to deal with this Druddigon.

That Psychic-type White Stones was his true goal for this trip!

The scorched smell of Voltorb's self-destruction still lingered at the cave entrance, mixed with the strong bloody scent of Druddigon, forming a nauseating odor.

But as they went deeper, this smell was quickly replaced by a fresh scent of earth and stone.

Soon, Jiang Han arrived at a rock platform inside the cave.

White Stones of various sizes were piled here.

Jiang Han's breath hitched slightly.

This was it.

He quickly walked to the platform, his gaze sweeping over the stones.

Upon closer inspection, Jiang Han finally saw what these stones looked like.

The large ones were the size of a human head, and the small ones were the size of a fist, each one completely pure white.

Their surfaces were not smooth but covered with extremely fine natural patterns.

When light shone on them, these patterns seemed to flow slowly, emitting a strange energy fluctuation.

This fluctuation had a fatal attraction for Psychic-type pokémon.

"Woo..."

Inkay beside him was dumbfounded, its two small tentacles waving unconsciously in the air.

Drool dripped from the corner of its mouth onto the ground, forming a small puddle.

It stared intently at the stones, emitting a yearning whimper from its throat, its entire body trembling slightly from extreme desire.

But it didn't move.

Even though it was so hungry it was almost fainting, it still remembered Jiang Han's command, only looking at him pitifully with its big, watery eyes.

Jiang Han felt quite satisfied.

Knowing the rules and when to advance or retreat, this was the kind of partner he wanted.

He was no philanthropist; resources would always be reserved for those most worthy of cultivation, his own people.

He casually picked up a large White Stones, weighed it in his hand; it was quite heavy.

Upon closer inspection, the patterns on the stone's surface were even clearer, as if containing some mystery that, if stared at for too long, would draw one's mind in.

"Take it, your reward."

Jiang Han threw the stone to Inkay.

Inkay clumsily caught it with its tentacles, happiness almost overwhelming its small head.

It hugged the stone, which was larger than its own body, rubbed its cheek against it, then opened its mouth and, without hesitation, took a big 'chomp'.

The teeth-grinding 'Crunch' sound did not occur.

The hard stone, upon contact with Inkay, melted like ice cream, transforming into streams of pure white energy that dispersed.

Finally, they gathered in its hat-shaped head.

The glowing organ on its head began to emit a brighter light than before, pulsating rhythmically, like breathing.

Witnessing this scene, Jiang Han couldn't help but marvel at the wonders of the Pokémon world.

Perhaps due to ingesting too much energy.

Inkay's body visibly expanded at a rapid rate.

It quickly changed from a flat squid shape to a round, white steamed bun.

Its two eyes happily narrowed into slits, and its body glowed slightly from the excessive energy filling.

It let out a burp, and a pure Psychic energy diffused from its mouth, causing the surrounding air to distort slightly.

The white light of leveling up appeared on its body, and Inkay reached Level 20!
