To Finn Hawthorne's surprise, his older brother actually nodded and said calmly, "Just this once won't hurt."
Finn Hawthorne was stunned. "Big Bro, you..."
But Wyatt Hawthorne ignored him. He tucked the blanket in for Faye Vaughn and said in a low voice, "Get some rest. I'm heading back to the office for a bit, but I'll be back tonight to stay with you."
Faye Vaughn said nothing.
She had almost "died," so Wyatt Hawthorne's attitude had changed somewhat.
'Men are strange creatures. They seem to have a natural tendency to pity the weak.'
The moment Wyatt Hawthorne left, Finn Hawthorne called for a nurse. "Add a cot to the room. I'm staying here tonight."
The nurse had clearly received prior instructions from Wyatt Hawthorne. She hesitated, "But President Hawthorne already asked for a bed to be added..."
Finn Hawthorne sneered. "Then just have them arrange for two beds."
The nurse glanced helplessly at Faye Vaughn.
