Liam Linden carefully wiped the corner of her mouth with his sleeve, his voice low and hoarse. "Open your mouth. Drink some water."
Faye Vaughn's brows knitted slightly. She let out an uncomfortable groan but showed no signs of waking.
Liam Linden went to get the black backpack from the corner of the room. It contained some spare medical supplies.
He took out a fever reducer and put it in Faye Vaughn's mouth. "Take the medicine. Swallow."
But Faye Vaughn didn't listen and spat it out.
Liam Linden frowned. She had to take the medicine. Out here in this godforsaken wilderness, with little food or shelter, she wouldn't make it.
"If you won't take it, then I'll feed it to you," Liam Linden said in a low voice.
He took out another pill, took a sip of water himself, and held it in his mouth before placing the pill in hers.
He lowered his head, intending to feed her the water so she could swallow the pill.
