Zoe Sawyer waved her hand dismissively, then added a reminder, "Remember to get in touch with the other search party. Tell them to call it a day and bring the parents over to the station.
How's the child? Is he okay?"
Finally, Zoe Sawyer made sure to ask about the child's condition.
'After all this commotion, he still hasn't woken up. It feels a little strange.'
The team member cradled the child carefully, lifted a corner of the blanket, and placed a finger under the boy's nose. He only relaxed after feeling the faint warmth of his breath.
"The kid's fine. He's still unconscious, probably drugged by the trafficker. I'm taking him back now." With that, the team member holding the child strode outside.
Two other officers flanked him as protection.
"Why don't you come back through the main entrance?" Zoe Sawyer suggested, watching the team member's retreating back after a moment of thought.
