The light of the Teleportation Star Gate faded.
Allen stepped into the plane port at the Ring City Alliance branch. Greeting his eyes was a forest of giant portals and shuttling airships. The grandeur and clamor of Hub City filled his vision once again. Twenty years had passed, but the place still looked as bustling as ever.
Allen took a deep breath, the cool air lifting his spirits. As he walked toward the exit of the teleportation plaza, two heavily armored guards of the Ring City Alliance stepped forward and raised their weapons.
"Routine inspection. Please cooperate."
Allen stood still. A faint blue beam swept over his body from top to bottom.
"Soul fluctuations are stable. No high-risk Curses, parasites, or Exotic Magic Power contamination detected."
