At the entrance of the small courtyard on the mountain peak, Wang Ping's expression was grim. He stared blankly at the yard full of Spirit Wood. Yu Lian, perched on his shoulder, nudged her head against his cheek, rousing him from his deep thoughts.
"Go get Liu Shuang and bring her up here!"
"Okay!"
Hearing the command, Yu Lian took to the air at top speed.
Wang Ping walked over to the viewing pavilion at the edge of the Mountain Peak Dojo, stopping to gaze down the mountain.
The front hall was clearly visible from Wang Ping's perspective, as were the steps leading to the peak and the people on them. He watched Yang Hou hurry down the mountain for a moment before turning his gaze to the outer disciples practicing the Chang Chun Technique in the front hall's training grounds.
'I don't know when it started, but I've come to accept that these people are fated to be my pawns.'
