"So you're looking for confidential documents." Mae Sullivan smiled, looking relieved. "Well, I hope you find them soon."
Kyle Morgan studied her impassively. "Thank you."
A servant brought them black tea.
Kyle Morgan was indeed a bit thirsty, so he picked up his cup and took a few sips.
Renee Jennings returned with the curly-haired cat in her arms, smiling as she looked at Mae Sullivan. "This kitty is just so adorable. Sister Mae, were you serious when you said I could take her home?"
Mae Sullivan nodded. "Yes, if you like her, you can take her home."
"Then I won't be shy." Renee Jennings looked grateful. "Thank you for being willing to part with her."
"Don't mention it." Mae Sullivan gestured for her to sit. "Please, try some of our tea and desserts."
Renee Jennings sat down with the curly-haired cat, and after a small taste, she announced their departure. "We still have to get lunch. We'll come bother you again next time we have the chance."
