Mrs. Yves nervously dialed Rory Yves's phone.
"Roxy, where are you right now?"
"Out having fun. What is it?"
"Roxy, send your location to me," Mrs. Yves explained. "The police said they have a few more questions for you."
On the other end of the line, Rory Yves snapped, "Are they nuts? I already told them everything crystal clear. What the hell else is there to ask!"
Mrs. Yves's tone was gentle. "Roxy, I know you're upset, but we have to cooperate with the police. Send me your address first. I'm with the police now, and we'll come pick you up."
"I don't want to!" Rory Yves's voice was filled with impatience. "I already made plans with my friends to do an escape room!"
Mrs. Yves glanced at Renee Jennings and the others, then got up and walked to the balcony. "Roxy, can't the escape room wait? Let's take care of what's important first. Don't you want that scumbag who hurt you to go to jail?"
Rory Yves asked, "Is there something they can't just ask me over the phone?"
