Before Su Li could even react, Wu Sheng did something else that took her by surprise.
He got on his bike and rode away.
A wooden sign hung from the back of his bicycle, with four large, bold words scrawled on it in a flamboyant script: "You'd better keep up."
The sign bobbed up and down as it receded into the distance.
Su Li: "..."
"What's wrong, Su Li?" Chang E, not noticing anything unusual, asked curiously when Su Li stopped walking.
Su Li looked away. "I'm not going to the cafeteria today. You go on ahead."
"Okay, then." Chang E waved and left.
After waving goodbye, Su Li turned and headed in the direction Wu Sheng had gone, toward the back gate.
After walking for a bit, she saw Wu Sheng stopped by the side of the road, lazily waiting for her again.
Su Li shook her head and quickened her pace toward him.
When Wu Sheng saw her approaching, he flipped over the wooden sign on the back of his bike, then got on and rode ahead again.
