When Cao Yuqing saw Chu Lingxiu walk over to Shen Nian, she wondered if the two of them knew each other.
That suspicion was confirmed after she heard their conversation.
And when she saw Chu Lingxiu actually apologize to Shen Nian, Cao Yuqing's expression soured even more.
'Chu Lingxiu hadn't shown her an ounce of courtesy, but with Shen Nian, she was so gentle. Why?!'
The more she thought about it, the more unfair it seemed, and the more resentful her gaze toward Shen Nian became.
Standing with Shen Nian, Chu Lingxiu quickly felt Cao Yuqing's resentful gaze upon her. She turned her head, and the vicious look on Cao Yuqing's face reminded her of what she had said back in Room 405.
A thought suddenly struck Chu Lingxiu. 'The "country bumpkin roommate" Cao Yuqing was talking about... that must have included Shen Nian!'
She had just apologized to Shen Nian and received her forgiveness, and at that moment, she felt a strong sense of kinship with her.
