After asking her question, Chu Lingxiu looked at Gu Shuxin and waited for her answer.
Gu Shuxin, however, seemed completely unprepared for such a question. For a moment, a flicker of panic even crossed her face.
"I… Yuqing told me. The girl who switched dorms with you."
"Oh, so that's it!"
Chu Lingxiu nodded, but she still had her doubts about the answer.
'She knew Gu Shuxin wasn't the type to care about people she found uninteresting, so she definitely wouldn't have gone out of her way to ask about other dorms.'
'And as for Cao Yuqing, given how much she clearly hated this dorm, she probably wouldn't have been kind enough to voluntarily tell Gu Shuxin who lived there!'
'Besides, even if, by some miracle, Cao Yuqing did mention it, how could Gu Shuxin be so certain that this Shen Nian was the same Shen Nian she knew?'
'There had to be another reason. Chu Lingxiu couldn't bring herself to believe that Gu Shuxin didn't have some other motive concerning Shen Nian.'
