He Gaofei and the others found the mere thought of it terrifying. However, they hadn't expected the other party to describe the experience so casually, as if it had been nothing more than an interesting journey.
"Actually, you gentlemen don't need to worry. Our current conditions are far better than what we had back then," Gu Wenheng said.
"Not only did we have to travel, but we also had to search for life-saving water.
"If we really made up our minds to do it, I could map out a route in an instant."
He Gaofei and the others shook their heads in unison. They didn't want to suffer the hardships of travel anymore, but they were even less willing to experience the life of a refugee.
"However, I still think it's safer to take the official roads," Gu Wenheng continued. "There are so many deep mountains and old forests along the way. If we were to travel through them and run into wild beasts, I reckon our group would just be serving ourselves up on a silver platter."
