Ning Yuchen knew it was just empty politeness. He Nan had used this exact same excuse countless times before.
"No matter what it is, surely it won't delay a meal," Ning Yuchen said. Now that he had spoken, he wasn't going to give up so easily.
He Nan stepped outside. "If Lord Ning wants to find someone to eat with, I'm sure many would be willing. I really have business to attend to and cannot get away. I'll be taking my leave now."
