News that hundreds of zombies had appeared outside the barracks and attacked the soldiers of the First Division finally reached Leo Joyce.
The report came from one of Victor Caldwell's men.
He was one of the men left behind to guard the Second Division's camp.
The First and Second Division camps were a good distance apart, but the zombies' roars were piercing. He had snuck over to investigate, never expecting to find such a shocking scene. Fortunately, he was a fast runner, or he surely would have been attacked by the zombies.
Upon hearing the news, Victor Caldwell didn't dare delay for a moment and immediately reported it to Leo Joyce.
As for Leo Joyce, who was waiting on the outskirts of The Citadel to observe the attack's progress, he had been the City Lord for several years. Though his mind was in turmoil, he wouldn't lose his composure in front of Victor Caldwell.
