Qin Fangmei and two of her male classmates were hiding outside Shen Ningning's quarters.
They watched as Ren Yu left the room.
Qin Fangmei whispered, "We can go now. Ren Yu went to eat and won't be back for at least an hour."
She had just taken a step forward when one of the male classmates behind her grabbed her sleeve.
He looked hesitant. "Are we... really going to search Shen Xuezhi's room? This doesn't feel right."
"Yeah," the other student said. "Even if we go, shouldn't we get Shen Xuezhi's permission first?"
Qin Fangmei was displeased, inwardly cursing the two of them. 'Idiots.'
But she feigned a righteous tone. "We're not going to steal anything. We're just confirming if Ningning has any other food. If she does, we can have her share it with everyone."
