A little after three in the afternoon, Xiao Furen rode his bicycle to pick up his sweetheart from work.
He arrived outside the Public Security Bureau and, with a long leg, stylishly came to a stop. He pushed the bike to the side of the road, locked it, and took a bag of pastries from the handlebars before heading inside with his purchase.
"Sister He, Sun, keeping busy?" Xiao Furen greeted the two women at the desks by the door as soon as he entered.
"Well, if it isn't Little Xiao! You're quite early today," Sister He greeted him with a smile.
"I don't have school, and I didn't have anything else to do, so I came early." As Xiao Furen spoke, he placed the paper bag he was carrying on Sister He's desk.
"What did you bring this time?" Sun, who was also familiar with Xiao Furen, craned her neck curiously to look at the oil-paper bag he had set down.
