After sitting down, Mrs. Lu Sr. sprawled out on the sofa.
Lu Linlin did the same.
The grandmother and granddaughter lay on the sofa in the exact same pose.
"We ate way too much tonight. Shengsheng, have you eaten yet?" Lu Linlin asked.
"I don't think I did, I forgot," Gu Shengsheng suddenly remembered. "But I went to that private auction and ate a lot of dessert, so I'm not hungry."
Just as she said that, the doorbell rang again.
Gu Shengsheng went to open the door and saw her neighbor standing there. His hand, which was offering her something, froze for a moment.
"You have family over?"
"Yes," Gu Shengsheng said.
He placed the items in her hands. "I just finished dinner and bought a few too many salted egg yolk pastries, plus some other dishes. Here, you take them."
Before Gu Shengsheng could refuse, he had already shuffled off in his slippers.
