Noticing Drew Thorne's puffy, bun-like face, Jane Sterling chuckled and ruffled his hair a couple of times.
"Don't worry. If Joy Fischer and the others notice we haven't replied, they'll definitely come rescue us."
Although she hadn't known Joy Fischer for long, Jane Sterling had a good read on her.
She might act like a spoiled princess on the surface, but in reality, likely due to her upbringing, Joy was incredibly observant and possessed a powerful sixth sense.
With her and Luna Nash around, Jane believed they wouldn't just be left here to die.
Besides, the system had just given her a task. 'Even if only for the sake of completing the task, the system wouldn't just stand by and watch them die here, right?'
With that thought, Jane Sterling relaxed.
A gentle breeze rustled the tips of their hair, and the sky full of stars shone with exceptional brilliance.
The two of them lay back on the sand, gazing at the starry sky, feeling completely at ease.
