"Lu Xize?"
Chu Yao called his name twice, but there was no response.
She walked over to the dining table. Breakfast was laid out, and a note in his familiar handwriting was tucked under a glass of milk.
Lu Xize had something to take care of and had left early that morning. The car to take her to the film set later had also been arranged, so she didn't need to worry about anything.
Warmth flooded Chu Yao's heart.
Communication was so easy these days; Lu Xize could have just sent her a message. But compared to an impersonal phone screen, Chu Yao much preferred the notes he left.
She couldn't explain why; she just loved it.
She carefully put the note away and sat down to eat. A short while later, the car arrived outside.
Ever since He Qiao realized she'd misunderstood the relationship between her boss and Chu Yao, she felt comfortable enough to tease her. They already had a good relationship, so they joked and chatted all the way to the film set.
