The Entity stood rooted, his breath coming in jagged, silver plumes.
"Your mind shall become my playground."
The loop snapped back for the fifth time. The tenth. He had lost count. Each time he crushed her skull, he would somehow blink and the world would reset, leaving him standing in the center of the cave with his fist clenched around nothing but air.
"You... Just how long do you imagine this trick of yours would last?" The Entity threatened, but his voice lacked that sharp edge it usually carried.
Lorelei didn't respond. Or it would be more accurate to say she couldn't.
Because she was forcefully holding back the mouthful of blood that threatened to splash from her mouth if she did.
'How is he adapting so fast? He should have lost his mind by now,' Lorelei questioned with burdening confusion.
Despite her outward appearance, the amount of energy it took to manipulate the mind to such lengths was astronomical.
