Ki = will/spirit/energy
Mana = existence/the power of change
Genki = lifeforce
These are the basics, now for the complicated ones:
Neutral mana: mana that has its nature cut out (mana has an innate nature that is in accordance with the nature of what it belongs to)
Magic is split into three different types all requiring a form of mana: transmutation, enchantment, and projection
Transmutation: creates or changes objects
Enchantment: creates or changes attributes on an object (almost always can not be used with pure mana)
Projection: projects your will onto an object (somewhat abstract I know) allowing things such as telekinesis
Mystic mana/shinpi: a mystic force capable of doing many things, mostly used to draw out potential. Made by combining lifeforce and mana
Dark energy: can corrupt living beings and empower them with the consequence of making them go berserk. Gained when committing evil or selfish actions, used by otherworld to measure how evil one was throughout their life along with other factors
Dark mana: able to brainwash and corrupt minds along with the ability to temporarily empower subjects. Made by combining dark energy and mana
Dark shinpi: dark mysticism, able to revive the dead without their souls and many other mystic applications. Made by combining dark energy, mana, and lifeforce
Mortal god ki: a mix of ki and mana consisting mostly of ki. Gained from mortals interacting with God ki in large timespans or through various rituals
True God ki: a mix of all 3 fundamental energies, while mostly ki, it still has large parts of the others. Gained from being born with it or having a ritual done to link your life with a god
