Sora's POV
The café looked nothing like itself anymore.
Tables had been pushed aside, chairs stacked against the wall, and the entire place smelled faintly of cleaning chemicals mixed with the stubborn trace of burnt fabric from the night before.
I stood near the counter with my arms crossed, watching Micah and the Kens move around like a small army.
One of them was scrubbing the floor.
Another was wiping soot from the lower cabinets.
Two others were carrying damaged equipment toward the back door, where the contractor had asked us to place everything for proper disposal.
"Careful with that one!" Micah called from the kitchen. "That machine might still be salvageable!"
"I got it, boss!" Tate replied, lifting the espresso machine like it weighed nothing.
Despite the chaos, something about the scene made me smile.
Everyone was working hard.
No complaints.
No hesitation.
Maybe Yeongjae was right.
Maybe we could rebuild faster than I expected.
