Six hours ago...
Sony Delirmo had visited the school where Clara Tidman worked. She held a position in administration and was also skilled with computers. From time to time, Sony would come by and ask her to fill out official paperwork for him. That day, he waited for her in the school courtyard. He waited a long time—too long. He noticed that the students had finished their classes and were leaving, even though Clara was supposed to finish her shift an hour before them.
Worried, he headed toward the office where she usually worked. Just as he approached, a man stepped out of the office and locked the door behind him. Sony walked over quickly and addressed the man.
"Hey, sir. Have you seen Clara Tidman? She works here. I know her well—I've looked for her everywhere, even called her, but she hasn't answered."
The man frowned. "Sir, she didn't come in today."
"That can't be, I called her this morning—she told me she was coming in for work."
"I'm not lying to you. We were expecting her too but after being two hours late, I went into her office and did her tasks myself. We tried calling her but she didn't answer our calls either."
"That's strange," Sony muttered, eyes narrowing. "She always keeps her phone with her, and—"
He stopped mid-sentence. A strange sensation pulsed behind him. He felt the unmistakable aura of a wonder stone heir. Spinning around, he spotted a man standing at the end of the hallway: brown-skinned, with blond hair and striking green eyes. The man raised a hand and waved mockingly.
Sony's heart sank. That aura—it couldn't be a coincidence. This man was connected to Clara's disappearance. Without another word to the school staff, Sony sprinted down the hallway, chasing after the stranger.
The man turned and walked away, leading Sony to a quiet, empty area outside the building.
"I know you have something to do with my friend Clara's disappearance," Sony snapped. "Tell me where she is. Now."
The man chuckled. "Easy there, Sony Delirmo."
Sony's eyes widened. "How do you know my full name, you bastard?"
"I just do, bastard."
"I'm not here to play games!"
With that, Sony summoned his weapon: a jagged steel knuckle. In a blink, he used instant movement to appear directly in front of the man, swinging a punch enhanced with compressed air pressure. But to his surprise, his attack was stopped cold—literally—by a glass wall that not only blocked his strike but froze his weapon solid.
He retreated quickly, blinking out of range before the ice spread to the rest of his body. Glancing at his frozen weapon, he used another blast of air to shatter the ice. But no sooner had he recovered than sharp, glass-like shards imbued with icy energy shot toward him.
Sony surrounded himself with a defensive dome of compressed air, but the shards pierced through it, slashing close to his body. He thought it was over—those shards were aimed at every part of him. They were about to rip into his flesh and freeze him to death.
But they stopped.
Hovering just millimeters from his skin, the shards froze in place. Sony lifted his gaze and saw the blond man standing right in front of him, closer than he had been a second ago. He hadn't even sensed him approach.
The shards, floating mid-air, were clearly the man's weapon—and they were binding Sony in place.
The stranger smirked. "No need for violence, is there? Why don't we continue our conversation… peacefully?"
"What do you want?" Sony asked, teeth clenched.
"My name is Sam. And I know where your friend Clara Tidman is."
"You're the one who kidnapped her?"
"Not exactly. Some of my subordinates did. But don't worry—she's still alive."
"You bastards are going to kill her and steal her powers using that device—the connector , right? Don't deny it. I know you're with the Fauvism ."
"Yes, but I'm not the same as the ones your Kaos Team fought before."
Sony's heart skipped a beat. "How… do you know about Kaos?"
"Oh, we know all about you," Sam said with a mocking grin. "Merrick, Clara, Salvador, Sony, Jayden, Chris, Luna and Yuna—Team Kaos."
Sony's jaw clenched, but he noticed something curious. Sam hadn't mentioned Tristan or William. Did he not know about them? Or was he pretending?
"There's something I don't get," Sony said. "You've clearly gathered a lot of intel on us. So why haven't you attacked us? Why talk?"
"Because that's how we operate. We offer our enemies a chance to join us. If they refuse, we kill them. We know everything about them—and we're always one step ahead. That's the advantage of being part of the National Division."
"I don't see much difference between you and the Fighter Division. You all want the same thing—to kill stone heirs and absorb their powers with the Connector."
"You're mistaken, kid. Same method, different goal."
As they spoke, Sony suddenly pushed out a wave of compressed air, forcing the glass shards away. He used instant teleportation again, appearing several meters away from Sam.
Sam didn't chase him. He simply smiled and said, "Clara Tidman is our hostage. Bring your entire team to this address in two days."
He threw a dagger that landed at Sony's feet. A piece of paper was tied to it.
Sony picked it up. The paper contained an address. When he looked up again, Sam was still there, smirking.
"Be good little kids and show up, all of you. No tricks. Just a chat. Otherwise… Clara won't live long."
Then snow swirled around Sam—and he vanished.
Back at Kaos HQ...
Jayden slammed a fist on the table. "A 'chat'? Is that guy Sam crazy or what? Does he really think we're dumb enough to believe they just want to talk?"
Merrick leaned back. "He's not lying. They really do want to talk. At least at first."
"You believe them?"
"I believe they know more than we thought. And we don't have a choice. Clara's a hostage. If we don't do what they say, they'll kill her."
"Damn those bastards…"
Tristan crossed his arms. "If what Sony said is true, then they don't know about me or William. Sam didn't mention us."
Chris nodded. "Not to be rude but that doesn't help much. Even if you two intervene, it won't make a huge difference—not when the enemy warned us not to try anything annoy them . They'll kill Clara the moment they sense a trap."
"This is bad," Jayden muttered.
Merrick stood. "We must go. But we'll prepare for the possibility of a fight. Be ready."
Salvador raised a hand. "Wait. The twins—Luna and Yuna—they're not here. We need to tell them."
"Right."
Meanwhile…
Luna and Yuna were, as usual, keeping a distant eye on their family's home. Once done, Luna used instant teleportation to take them both to a quiet diner on the edge of town. It was a modest place, with no cameras—one they often visited.
They sat at a table, placed their order and started chatting.
"I don't get it," Yuna said. "Why didn't they go after Mom or Dad—or our siblings?"
"I don't know either," Luna replied. "But honestly, it's better this way. We don't need things getting worse."
"Still… knowing why could help us understand their plans."
"Maybe. But right now, finding out more about our enemies is more important."
"True."
Just then, both girls sensed the presence of another stone heirs . A sharp knock hit the window beside them.
They turned and saw him—Lucian. And he wasn't alone. With him stood Taosho, Maria, and Kiki.
Luna immediately grabbed Yuna's hand and used teleportation . They appeared outside, facing their attackers directly.
"What now?" Luna asked coldly.
Lucian stepped forward. "Luna Ribwan. The four of us have decided to kill you—for what you did before."
"You mean because I beat you? Or because I killed some of your friends?"
"Both. Prepare to die."
Lucian raised his spear. Kiki aimed her rifle. Maria notched an arrow. Taosho readied a metal whip.
The four launched their attack.
Luna, unfazed, yawned lazily—then teleported herself and Yuna to the rooftop of a nearby empty building.
From there, the twins observed and whispered.
"I'll go deal with them," Luna said. "Only help if I'm in real danger."
Yuna : "But there are four of them. Are you sure you can win?"
"Yes. They don't know you're a stone heir too. If you use your power, that secret will be exposed. We can't risk that."
"Alright. I'll wait."
Taosho spotted them and fired a lightning bolt. Luna dispersed it with a sonic wave, then blinked next to him and struck his head with her metal rod, knocking him out cold.
Kiki fired five ice bullets—but Luna countered with a gust of wind. Then Lucian appeared, his spear blazing with fire and swung at her with all his might. She blocked with her rod, channeling air pressure into it. Her strength overwhelmed his.
Suddenly, Taosho attacked from behind, binding Luna with his whip and trying to electrocute her. She shielded herself in sonic waves. Maria joined in, launching a sonic-powered arrow.
That was it. Luna snapped.
With a growl, she unleashed her true power: the "Bone Separator." A field of energy surrounded her, dismantling the metallic whip and vaporizing Maria's arrow.
All four enemies recoiled in horror.
"You think I spared you before because I couldn't kill you?" Luna growled. "No—I didn't want to hurt Liam. But now… if you don't run, I'll end you."
Her tone and glare were deadly serious. The enemies hesitated.
"Lucian," Taosho said, "her power's too dangerous. Let's leave."
"You coward!" Lucian barked. "We can beat her if we work together!"
Kiki nodded. "But he's right. She's not bluffing."
"We can use her twin," Lucian whispered. "Maria, you can teleport, right?"
Maria : "Yes."
"Find Yuna. She was with her earlier on that rooftop. We'll distract Luna while you capture Yuna and use her as a hostage."
"Got it."
The trio kept attacking Luna to distract her while Maria vanished.
Yuna, watching the battle, was unsure whether to join. That's when Maria appeared and blasted her with compressed air, knocking her down.
"Sorry," Maria said. "But I need you as a hostage so we can kill your twin—she's too stro—"
Before she could finish, her legs froze. They crumbled into ice shards.
Yuna stood, eyes cold. "Turnabout is fair play."
Maria screamed in pain. "How?! You're twins, you shouldn't—"
"I'm sick of that question."
"Your power is terrifying..."
"And you were going to make me watch my twin die. Is that not terrifying?"
Maria was silent.
"Yes, it is," Yuna continued.
Maria raised her bow and fired—but Yuna blocked it with a shield. As Maria tried to teleport, Yuna trapped her in a bubble of water.
Back on the battlefield, Luna had already ended things. She used her special technique the bone separator on her enemies leaving only bones
Specifically on Kiki's head and Taosho's chest.
As for Lucian she used it in his limbs . He was bleeding in the ground
Yuna watched as her twin floated toward Lucian.
"H-how… W-what…?" Lucian stammered.
"Shut up," Luna spat. "I warned you. You tried to kill me and target my twin. Now it's my right to execute you."
" Wait do not kill him " Yuna said, stepping in
Luna : " not kill him ? Then what should I do ? Do a party tea for him ?"
" I mean Let's not kill him yet. We should interrogate him first "
"Fine."
Luna knocked Lucian out cold with her metal rod. Maria was already unconscious.
That was the bloody battle the Ribwan twins fought that day—and won.
But what awaited them and the rest of Team Kaos, in two days at that address?
And would Clara still be alive by then?
