Auxiliary Chapter 1 – The World of Douluo (No Spoilers Guide)

This auxiliary chapter is meant to help new readers understand the basic setting and power system of the Douluo Continent, without revealing any future plot developments. Everything written here reflects what is publicly known in the world at the beginning of the story.

1. The Douluo Continent

The Douluo Continent is a land where strength defines status, and cultivation determines one's fate. Cities rise around powerful clans and sects, while dangerous regions are dominated by Soul Beasts.Although peace exists on the surface, political struggles between noble families, sects, and empires are constant. Talent is valued above all else, and bloodlines often decide one's starting point in life.

2. Martial Spirits (Spirit Martial)

Every human awakens a Martial Spirit at a young age.A Martial Spirit can take many forms:

Beasts

Plants

Tools

Special or mutated spirits

The quality of a Martial Spirit affects one's potential. Some spirits are naturally strong, while others require great effort to reach higher realms. Mutations can be either blessings or curses, depending on compatibility with the cultivator.

3. Soul Power & Innate Talent

After awakening a Martial Spirit, one's Innate Soul Power is measured. This number reflects natural talent at birth and determines how easily one can cultivate in the early stages.

While high Innate Soul Power offers a strong advantage, it does not guarantee success.Resources, techniques, environment, and personal will all play critical roles in long-term growth.

4. Soul Rings & Their Colors

To advance in cultivation, Soul Masters hunt Soul Beasts and absorb Soul Rings. The color of a Soul Ring reflects the age of the Soul Beast:

White – 10 years

Yellow – 100 years

Purple – 1,000 years

Black – 10,000 years

Red – 100,000 years

Absorbing higher-level Soul Rings grants stronger abilities but carries great risk.Attempting to absorb a ring beyond one's limits may result in severe injury or death.

5. Soul Beasts & Bestialization

Soul Beasts are spiritual creatures that grow stronger over time. When hunted, they provide Soul Rings and Soul Bones.

Some cultivators develop bestial traits over long-term cultivation, especially when their Martial Spirit is beast-type.This phenomenon, known as bestialization, is widely accepted as a natural consequence of the cultivation system, though opinions differ on whether it is a blessing or a flaw.

6. The Sun and Moon Empire & Soul Tools

Unlike traditional sects that focus purely on Soul Power, the Sun and Moon Empire is famous for developing Soul Tools—devices that enhance combat through technology combined with Soul Power.

This technological path has changed warfare and power dynamics across the continent, creating tension between traditional Soul Master factions and modern Soul Tool factions.

7. The Imperial Fox Clan (Public Knowledge)

The Imperial Fox Clan is an ancient bloodline known for its fox-type Martial Spirits.Members of the clan are often evaluated by the number of tails manifested in their spirit form. More tails are associated with higher potential and greater status within the clan.

The clan maintains a careful relationship with nobles and imperial powers, choosing stability and survival over open confrontation.

What the world knows of the Imperial Fox Clan is limited to what they choose to reveal.

8. A Note to New Readers

This story follows an original path within the Douluo world. While it respects the core rules of the setting, some elements may expand upon ideas that the continent itself has not yet fully explored.

Readers are encouraged to view unfamiliar concepts as part of the world's natural evolution—just as the people of Douluo would encounter them.
