Finnegan
The car rolled to a stop in the huge parking lot of the suburban house. I stepped out, the cool evening air brushing against my skin, and my fingers tightened around the shopping bag in my hand.
There was the faint scent of chlorine in the air as I strode to the security house where the guards were stationed.
"Welcome home, Boss," Arnold grunted, dipping his head in a slight bow.
I nodded curtly, scanning the area out of habit. "What happened at Owen Smith's house? I want every detail."
He scratched the back of his neck. "Uh, we had parked the car a block away because Miss Kellerman didn't want to spook the man. Barely twenty minutes later, we received a call from Miss Kellerman."
"They were at Owen Smith's residence, we heard noises of shouting and fighting, so we moved in immediately to contain the situation, but the intruders got away and so did Owen Smith."
