Sorcerer / Battle Mage Classification (Auxiliary Lore) VELL SORCERERS

1. Absolute

The pinnacle of magical existence.

Absolute-class sorcerers are laws unto themselves—magic bends instinctively to their will. Their presence alone can distort reality, fate, or divine order. Extremely rare; most are recorded only in myth or forbidden archives.

The only known example is Lady Nerissa.

2. Supreme

Supreme-class mages possess overwhelming mastery over multiple domains of magic. They can challenge nations, gods' avatars, or ancient entities. They are partially reality-defining though not like Absolutes, they are catastrophic forces in battle.

Examples are all the God Emperors.

3. Sovereign

Sovereigns rule magic rather than merely wield it.

They dominate a specific school or aspect of sorcery to an unparalleled degree, often serving as warlords, high priests, or living weapons in major conflicts.

Examples are the eight God Kings, the six star swords and the four Vell.

4. Anomaly

Unclassifiable entities.

Anomaly-class sorcerers do not fit conventional magical laws. Their power may fluctuate wildly, evolve unpredictably, or manifest in forbidden ways. Some surpass Sovereigns; others collapse under their own instability. Feared more than respected.

Examples are Moonborn.

5. Elite

The standard classification for trained sorcerers and battle mages.

Foundation-class individuals possess formal magical education and combat capability but remain bound by established magical rules. Most military mages, guild operatives, and academy graduates fall into this tier.

Examples are any average sorcerer.
