Scene 1 — Suho's Confession
The car ride was quiet, except for the hum of the engine. YN stared out the window, hands folded nervously on her lap. Suho glanced at her from the driver's seat, concern etched into every line of his face.
Suho:
"YN… are you feeling better?"
YN lowered her eyes, tugging at the edge of her sleeve.
YN:
"I… I'm okay."
Suho sighed softly, the sound heavy with unspoken emotions. He reached for the corner of her hand, letting his fingers brush against hers lightly.
Suho:
"YN… you should know… you're beautiful. Not just because of makeup, not because of anything sudden… I love you for who you truly are. I hated that my heart skipped a beat the first time I met you… but now I've accepted it. I like you… a lot. I… love you."
YN's lips curved into a soft smile. Her heart fluttered at his sincerity, but something deep in her chest ached—a quiet, familiar emptiness she could never ignore.
YN:
"You're the best. Thank you for everything, Suho. You should go home now… I'm really fine."
He gave her one last warm look, a small smile that didn't reach his eyes entirely, and quietly left.
Scene 2 — Kim Taehyung's Shadowed Heart
What YN didn't know was that a few blocks away, Kim Taehyung had been silently following them, keeping a careful distance. He saw the way Suho's hand brushed against hers, the warmth in their laughter, the tender look in Suho's eyes.
Every step he took felt like walking through fire. His chest tightened, his throat constricted. He wanted to yell, to storm in and tell her: That's mine. I've always been yours. But the words never formed.
Taehyung (thinking, bitterly):
She's smiling at him like she never even notices me. And I… I'm nothing. Never me… never will be.
He clenched his fists so tightly that his knuckles whitened. Every nerve in his body screamed to run away, to escape this heartbreak—but he couldn't. He had to see her safe, even if it destroyed him inside.
Scene 3 — Taehyung Visits YN
Some time later, as twilight settled over the city, Taehyung found himself outside YN's house. His heart pounded, heavy with both longing and fear. He knocked gently, unsure if she would even want to see him.
YN opened the door, surprised.
YN:
"Taehyung… what are you doing here?"
Taehyung's voice was quiet, almost fragile.
Taehyung:
"I… wanted to check on you. Are you… feeling any better?"
YN nodded slightly, looking down.
YN:
"Yeah…"
He stepped closer, his eyes never leaving hers
Taehyung:
"Look at me, YN. You're beautiful. Not because of anyone, not because of what you wear… but because of who you are. Tina and the others… they don't matter. They'll try to bring you down, but I… I won't let them. Even if it kills me."
YN felt her heart tighten. She had never realized how much pain he carried silently, how much he suffered watching her happiness with Suho, yet never acting selfishly.
YN (softly):
"Taehyung… I… I didn't know…"
Taehyung (gently cupping her face, voice breaking slightly):
"You don't have to say anything. I just… I had to see you safe.
Scene 4 — The Balcony Moment
Taehyung led her to the balcony, the city lights flickering beneath them. He exhaled slowly, as if letting go of some heavy weight he'd carried for years.
Taehyung:
"YN… I've always wanted to protect you. single time."
YN looked at him, her eyes misting. She wanted to reach out, to comfort him, but she felt the guilt gnawing at her chest.
Taehyung:
"I've never fought for myself… never trained… never even imagined I'd have to defend someone like this. Yn I know right now you must be feeling overwhelmed but I know you are strong, you are brave and beautiful
Taehyung:
"Go… rest. Tomorrow… face them all. But remember… someone's always in your corner, even if they don't speak."
YN nodded, eyes filling with tears.
YN:
"Thank you… Taehyung. I… I'll remember."
As he walked away, the city seemed to close in around him, shadows stretching long. His heart was heavy, yet resolute. Even if he could never claim her love… he would always be her protector.
Taehyung (thinking, voice barely a whisper to himself):
Never me… but always for her. Always.
