One day ago, evening.
Jingcheng University.
In Academician Professor Li Xingguo's office.
"Youdie, let me ask you something. Would you like to work in the military?" Professor Li Xingguo asked the girl sitting across from him.
"The military? I don't want to go." Ye Youdie shook her head, her ear-length short hair swaying with the movement.
"Because of Lin Mu?" Professor Li Xingguo said.
"Yes, Professor. I don't want Lin Mu to come back and not find me." At the mention of Lin Mu, Ye Youdie's face was filled with a look of longing.
"Then what if I said that if you go to the military, you can see Xiao Mu every day? Still wouldn't go?" Professor Li Xingguo asked with a smile.
"I can see Lin Mu? Professor, is that true? If it's true, then I'll go," Ye Youdie said in surprise.
"All you think about is seeing Lin Mu. You didn't even ask what you'd be doing there," Professor Li Xingguo said.
"My major is computer technology. In the military, I should be going to the network department," Ye Youdie said, pouting.
"Yes, the military has taken an interest in your specialty, so they want you to work there," Professor Li Xingguo nodded.
"Professor, when do I leave?" Ye Youdie asked.
"Tomorrow. Go back and pack your things; someone will pick you up tomorrow."
The next day at 8:00 AM, Ye Youdie was waiting at the entrance of Jingcheng University.
Before long, a military vehicle stopped in front of Ye Youdie. The door opened, and a man with the rank of Second Lieutenant stepped out, saying, "comrade Ye Youdie, hello. I have been sent by the higher-ups to take you to the military. Here are my credentials."
"Second Lieutenant, Second Lieutenant," Ye Youdie said as she opened the ID.
"It takes six hours to get to the military region from here. The chief has work scheduled for this morning, so we'll head out immediately after arriving at the military region," Second Lieutenant said calmly after taking back his officer ID.
"Alright, thank you for the trouble," Ye Youdie said politely before getting into the car.
Once Ye Youdie was in the car, Second Lieutenant hit the gas and headed straight for the Lang Ya Base.
At 2:00 PM, the military vehicle entered the unit. Under Second Lieutenant's lead, Ye Youdie went to the cafeteria to eat and then returned to the car to wait.
"Reporting to the Chief, Second Lieutenant has completed the mission. Please provide instructions," Second Lieutenant said, standing at attention and saluting.
"Let's go to Wolf Fang," Gao Shiwei stood up and said... Warehouse 026.
After Ostrich finished speaking, he looked at the various props hit by bullets and said nothing more.
"Yes, from now on, every one of you must be able to do it—from entering the room to completion—in three seconds."
Gray Wolf looked at Lin Mu with some surprise. He actually knew the timing of the Flashbang; it seemed he had done a lot of preparation.
"Alright, the welcome ceremony is over. Go and rest. In a bit, the Captain will talk to you about the Lone Wolf Commando Team."
Before Gray Wolf could finish, the communication system in the warehouse rang: "This is the Brigade Headquarters. Have Lin Mu come to the Captain's office; someone is looking for him."
Lin Mu said with a look of confusion, "Someone is looking for me?"
"What are you dazing for? Hurry up and go," Gray Wolf urged... "Hey, handsome Lin Mu!"
Just as he arrived at the Brigade Headquarters and was about to go up, Lin Mu heard a familiar voice.
Turning his head, Lin Mu froze for a moment.
A beautiful woman stepped out of a military vehicle parked nearby. Upon closer inspection, it was actually his girlfriend.
"Heehee, didn't expect that, did you?"
Ye Youdie jogged over and threw herself into Lin Mu's arms, hugging him tightly. She tilted her delicate face up and asked.
Today, Ye Youdie was wearing blue jeans and a loose white sweatshirt. The tight and loose combination perfectly showcased her figure; she looked stunning!
"Youdie, why are you here?" Lin Mu asked.
Lin Mu was both pleasantly surprised and confused.
This was Wolf Fang.
It was impossible for a college student to enter, and even if it were a family visit, the timing wasn't right.
"I'm here to steal your job," Ye Youdie said with a laugh.
"It's not that I'm looking down on you, but you really can't steal my job. Besides, I wouldn't have the heart to let you do what I do," Lin Mu said, pinching Ye Youdie's nose.
"I'm serious, I really am here to steal your job. If you don't believe me, go up and see for yourself," Ye Youdie said, letting Lin Mu pinch her nose.
"Alright, the Captain just happens to be looking for me. I'll go up first and take you for a walk later," Lin Mu said, kissing Ye Youdie's smooth cheek.
Lin Mu looked at the Wolf Fang members around him who were staring, gave a chuckle, let go of Ye Youdie, and walked into the Brigade Headquarters.
Watching Lin Mu go upstairs, Ye Youdie turned back and saw many people looking at her. Her face flushed, and she quickly ran back to the car.
"Reporting! Lin Mu is here to report as ordered," Lin Mu said loudly at the office door.
"Come in." After receiving permission, Lin Mu walked into the office and saw the chief he had previously met at the Night Tiger Reconnaissance Company.
"Lin Mu, let me introduce you. This is Chief Gao Shiwei of our Southeast Military Region," the Captain introduced after Lin Mu entered.
"Hello, Chief," Lin Mu saluted the chief.
"Hmm, it seems you've seen your girlfriend; otherwise, you wouldn't be smelling of fragrance."
Chief Gao joked and then looked at Lin Mu seriously, saying, "I came here today because I want to talk to you."
"Chief, you two talk first. I should go give a briefing to the new members," Captain He said, standing up.
He knew that some things could be heard, while others were better left unknown. Could something handled by the military region chief be a small matter?
"Alright." With Gao Shiwei's nod, He Zhijun left the office to them.
"Chief, do you have a mission for me?" Lin Mu asked curiously.
"Yes, it's like this. Because of the computer technology you demonstrated in the previous exercise, you happen to be a suitable candidate for our related plans, so you've come to our attention."
"Because of computer technology, I've come to your attention?" Lin Mu said, somewhat confused.
"Yes. You can develop systems, hack systems, and even develop a small program in a limited amount of time that relevant technical personnel couldn't crack."
"Fortunately, you're in our military. You understand what the consequences would be if you weren't. It's precisely because of this concern that our military region wants to train some outstanding technical talents."
"A plan like this, which concerns the future of the army, cannot be handed over to people in society."
"But if we send Technicians to schools, those professors are all very busy, and our military region's plans would definitely be affected."
"Based on these two points, after the exercise ended, we sought out your mentor to learn about your situation—your skills, educational background, relevant works—plus the fact that you are currently serving in a highly classified unit, we believe you are the most suitable candidate."
"Chief, do you want me to help the military train some relevant technical personnel?" Lin Mu said.
"Not only that, you will also be responsible for the development of some systems," Gao Shiwei said.
"Chief, I'm very willing to carry out such a mission, but the key is that I usually have training and go out on missions," Lin Mu said.
