Chapter 3 - [Sky Record and the Sea of Oblivion]

"Thinking about it, isn't it strange that the role of the Underworld was the most important in slowing down the speed of [Annihilation]?"

Well, maybe something happened. It's impossible that we are in Stage 3, right? There are still about a few billion years left.

"Ha.. Haha.. Damn it, who am I trying to convince?"

Annoyance appeared on Ray's face, but he didn't comment; he only sighed and sat down. "If my last novel was the final one, doesn't that mean it's a novel set before the Annihilation stage?"

On the other hand, It could mean that it's a phase of war between dimensions, or that it's between two phases, which means there are less than 100 Special Dimensions still carrying their own names. That means all the other dimensions that lost their names can be exploited now, but I don't know how to do that.

"It's strange that I say all this and yet I still feel the unreality of the matter. I even forgot my fear; is this because of the Breeze of Oblivion?" I hope not.

Ray smiled, then took a paper and pen to write.

"Well, anyway, the plan won't change, and I still have to survive."

To begin with, I cannot say that I don't care what will happen. If the Annihilation stage starts after an unknown number of years, it doesn't matter if I'm dead or not. Since the Underworld and the Spiritual World are within the Main Dimension, I will be involved in this anyway.

It's better to obtain enough power to protect myself even after death, and the only way is to take the path of a higher person.

"Well, Sky Registry, do you possess this information?"

Ray smiled and began to write.

[Like the stars in the sky, the Sea of Chaos has countless jewels; each jewel carries within it the origin of existence, the gateway to reality, and #####]

Ray stopped and looked at the paper, ensuring everything was written with the intent to communicate with the Sky Registry. Because the greatest power in this universe is intent, knowledge plays a major role. Because of Ray's feeling that his world was real even before he was reborn, it wasn't hard to believe and have faith in everything happening. The new memories he obtained helped break the prevailing logic of his previous world, and because of that, he could issue enough intent to prove he believes what he says.

Half of what he expected happened, as inscriptions in the same font he wrote with and the same language were being drawn under the sentence he wrote. Nevertheless, he smiled excitedly.

[We know]

"Well, that can be inferred through the Boundary Observer, but it doesn't matter; I achieved what I wanted to achieve."

[Congratulations, a unique achievement has been achieved: communicating with ####]

[You have two gifts; do you want to claim them?]

"Not yet. I need to obtain the support of 5 dimensions for that thing."

Ray sighed, but before thinking about the next step, something appeared on the paper he was writing on, under the response he received.

[Curiosity]

"??"

Do they mean they have curiosity about what I know?

[Do you want to strike a deal?] Ray wrote, clear excitement on his face.

[Accept]

"Well, there is no reason to refuse. I see the reason for keeping the response sentences brief is to avoid alerting the guardians or the entities that are watching. Thank you for that."

Fine, but what do I offer him?

The secret that lies at the heart of existence?

The birth of the first entity that maintains balance?

The number of times the Reality Key was used? Wait, that thing I have no knowledge of, but I know the number of fragments the Key was divided into.

"Oh, this might be useful information since even dimensions cannot sense the true key."

Yes, until all fragments gather, it might look like an ordinary key thrown in the street. Because of its unique energy, it is something that transcends dimensions. Meaning, even if a Key fragment were thrown inside the Abyss of Fear, the Abyss of Fear would not know it was a Key fragment unless it was active, or unless the Key chose to reveal itself. Because of the law, there is one place that knows the truth: every time the Key is used, the number of fragments will double.

It is the Sea of Oblivion.

"Speaking of the Sea of Oblivion, any information it possesses, the Sky Registry will not, and vice-versa. Like the way to awaken the Key fragments."

Due to the time difference, it might be better to keep this information, as the growth of the Sky Registry depends on revealing information, and someone might try to track the source, and that would only take a moment.

"Although that moment might come back to me in the future."

After all, my future might be the past of creatures outside this galaxy, unless the time of this world is compatible with the time of the planet Repton, and that is unlikely.

"Well, it's okay to reveal this information. Maybe it will grant a goal to some treasure hunters."

[#######################################################################]

Ray stopped. The writing he had done was completely deleted. But he quickly realized the reason and sighed.

"Do you not want me to reveal that?"

In reality, I was planning to reveal the entrances to the Sea of Oblivion, not the number of fragments. At least the entrances to the Sea of Oblivion on the planet Repton, but it seems that this is not possible. Fortunately, I still remember what I was going to write, and that I wrote it so I wouldn't rewrite it, and I think that's because he allowed it.

Let's not try to provoke the Sea of Oblivion, or I might even forget who I am.

"Then something simpler, but it must possess great value."

[Special Dimension No. 4, Blood Hell, where chaos, death, opportunities, and treasures spread. There, it is possible to find the memoirs of the King of the Dark World, Master of Planet Repton, and former Key Bearer, who obtained the Reality Key twice.]

It's better not to mention what the memoir contains. Since the King of the Dark World was one of the main characters in one of my novels and appeared even as a legendary character in another novel.

It is impossible for the Sky Registry not to know the value of this information, and it is impossible for it to know about events in special dimensions as well, and it is impossible for it to know if these memoirs exist. It is certain that this information will cause a great stir on #### and the Dimensional Pier area, and maybe reach the guardians.

"As I expected. This worked."

[What do you want?]

"What do I want in exchange for this information?"

Something that can benefit me and that the Sky Registry can provide.

"This is like getting a wish."

And this is true. In reality, I could even ask to return to my previous world now, or maybe something better.

"Obtaining a girlfriend."

Ray smiled jokingly, looking at the paper while leaning on his palm.

"Well, what shall we take?"

Here comes the strangeness of the reality of the novels I wrote, because everything relates to information and achievements. Since I don't want a situation where I am at the mercy of despair again, it is possible to ask to become the strongest person in the world, but this request has limits within my world, and more than that would make me catch the attention of this world's observers.

Also, this request is restricted by my knowledge, meaning if I wanted to be the strongest person in the world, I must know the size of this world and the power ceiling in it. Even if I were the author, I was unable to imagine the power of the guardians, let alone who is higher than the guardians.

"Then I need an item."

Thinking about it, I need something to communicate with the next dimension. I cannot slaughter half a planet just to communicate with Dimension No. 4, and I cannot devour a star just to communicate with Dimension No. 23, and I cannot rift the void just to communicate with Dimension 0, and I cannot visit a thousand different universes to communicate with Dimension No. 70. Many other dimensions require more complex conditions; the weaker the dimension, the more it protects itself fiercely, making it hard to communicate with.

"So, think."

Thinking about it, there is that thing that can help me gain superiority in this world and in any other world I go to.

"The Seed."

Yes, if I get this thing, it's possible to obtain that unique physical structure [The Virtual Body].

A physical nature capable of adapting, evolving, and changing with the mindset and soul of its master, although it has one flaw that can be solved with the help of the Sky Registry.

So:

[I want the Virtual Seed]

There's no need to explain what it is, for the intent with which I wrote the request carries all the information about the thing I requested.

[Something else]

"Can I ask for something else!"

This means the price of the information provided is greater than that.

"Or it means asking for something else is a trick."

Ray stopped and thought, then requested:

[A portion of the profits from selling the information]

[1%]

"Is this the maximum that can be offered?"

Ray stopped and noticed something. The response is a single word, but the information that enters his head after reading is more than that.

"I see. If that's the case."

[I accept 1% of the profits on the condition of obtaining these items: A Virtual Soul Seed, a Twin-class Virtual Soul Seed, the Book of the Deaf Sage, and the Tear of the Sad Demon]

[No]

"You cannot provide the Tear of the Sad Demon."

[Then I want a branch from the World Tree]

[I do not recommend]

"That means the branch is larger than this planet, and even if it were shrunk, its power could create a black hole. Seriously, just a word carries so much information. My greed for the Book of the Deaf Sage has increased now."

[Well, what about the Eyes That Do Not Blink?]

[Possible]

"M..."

Before Ray could utter a single sentence, his soul was pulled into the void.

[Side Info: Dimensions choose candidates even before their birth through soul resonance, but not all candidates are destined to reach the Guardian's seat. To obtain the seat, one must overcome a guardian, but each dimension has its own rules. The Abyss of Fear follows the rules of enslavement, while there are no candidates in the Sea of Oblivion, and it is said that the dimension itself feeds on the existence energy of guardians, though this is not confirmed information.]
