Chapter 53 - The Shape of Want

Dennis's POV

The BMW pulled away from the Parker house and I let my hands fall from the wheel. "Legion, take me home."

"Autopilot engaged, sir. Estimated arrival twenty minutes."

The steering column adjusted itself with a quiet hum and the car merged smoothly into the flow of Queens traffic. I settled back against the leather seat, rolled my neck until something popped, and blinked the Succubus God System into focus.

Gold text bloomed across my vision like a heads-up display only I could see. The main shop interface was familiar by now, categories branching off in neat columns: Recruiting : where I buy my Harem members, Active Skills: where I get active powers like Chi Absorption, Passives Skills:like the Kings gaze, Upgrades: where I go to buy the upgraded versions of skills or items I've bought for myself or others, Utilities: basically everything else that didn't fit the previous categories for example items like books or the Std cures. But today a pulsing crimson banner sat across the top of the interface that I had only noticed before leaving to fight the Green Goblin, and the moment I focused on it the text expanded.

SUCCUBUS SKILLS & ITEMS — 50% OFF SALE. STARTED: THURSDAY 12:00 PM. ENDS: MONDAY 12:00 PM.

I sat up straighter after reading it a second time today. Half price. That was the kind of deal that changed timelines.

I'd bought my magical lubricant ability from this same sale it was sitting right on top of the list at the time, a minor convenience skill that had turned out to be one of the most practical purchases I'd ever made. Sex anywhere, any surface, no prep, no mess, no awkward pauses. The SUV earlier would have been a logistical nightmare that would have made me waste chi healing them without it. But I'd barely scratched the surface of the catalog back then because points had been tight and summoning warm bodies took priority over personal upgrades.

Not anymore. Nine hundred and two points sat in my reserves, glowing steadily in the corner of my vision. Loki was still seventy-three days out. I had time to grind more. Tonight I could afford to invest in myself a little.

I scrolled.

The skills list was absolutely enormous, hundreds of thousands of entries organized by tier and function, everything from combat enhancements to social manipulation to esoteric sex magic theory. Most were grayed out, locked behind level gates or prerequisite purchases I hadn't made yet. But the ones available to me were more than enough to work with, and the red sale tag beside each price made my pulse quicken.

One entry grabbed me immediately.

SHAPESHIFTING — MEDIUM TIER (Upgrade from Minor). Cost: 144 SP. SALE PRICE: 72 SP.

I tapped it open and read the details. My current minor shapeshifting let me tweak surface details: hair color, eye color, subtle changes to facial structure. Useful for blending in or looking slightly different on camera, but limited. Medium tier blew the doors off. Full control over skin tone, hair length and texture, slight height adjustments within my standard body range, body composition, musculature, bone structure. As long as the form was male and Humanoid, I could become anyone or craft almost any appearance I wanted. The limitations were clear: while the outside body was free game no big internal changes like no voice alteration, no species changes, no big height changes, no sex shifts. That last restriction amused me. As if I'd ever want to this god was all about the cock thank you.

Seventy-two points for that level of infiltration capability three months before an alien invasion and with S.H.I.E.L.D. actively surveilling my people? I bought it before I finished reading the fine print.

The upgrade hit like warm water pouring down my spine. I felt my bones hum, my skin tingle with new potential, every cell suddenly aware of shapes it could take. I flexed my hand and watched my fingers lengthen by half an inch, then snap back. Changed my skin from its natural tan to deep brown, held it for a breath, then let it revert. The control was intuitive, like flexing a muscle I'd always had but never used but it did help that I had already pretty much mastered the minor version.

Eight hundred and thirty points remaining.

I kept scrolling. Combat skills, aura variants, chi techniques, all tempting but to expensive even at half price right now. I needed to be strategic. Then a passive skill caught my eye and I stopped dead.

AMBROSIA ESSENCE (Passive). Your essence adapts to the palate of whoever consumes it, manifesting as the taste of their most beloved food or drink. Effect is permanent and cumulative, increasing cravings heavily with repeated exposure. Cost: 200 SP. SALE PRICE: 100 SP.

System notification: carving effect increases in strength to a certain degree proportionally to your own strength. A brake down will be given for example with hosts current strength this is how many times people of different mental and physical strength need to consume until completely hooked for life, 1. Normal everyday humans one time, 2. Peak humans like Hawkeyes or Dare Devil fifteen times, 3. Enhanced individuals like Captain America or Hulk between twenty to forty times, 4. Supernatural beings like Thor or Loki vary from person to person based on strength and magical resistance so someone may take only one time or fifty you won't know until their hooked.

I read it twice. Then a third time. Every member of my Pack, every Companion, every Life Partner who'd ever swallowed for me, or would in the future, would taste the thing they loved most in the world. Not just tolerate it. Crave it. The loyalty implications alone were staggering, but beyond strategy it was simply a kindness. These men gave me everything. The least I could do was make sure the experience was as good for them as it was for me after not everyone can appreciate the natural taste of cum.

I bought it.

The activation was subtler than the shapeshifting, just a faint warmth that settled low in my belly then fell to my balls and pulsed once before going dormant, waiting.

Seven hundred and thirty points.

I wanted to keep browsing. There were at least a dozen more entries that looked promising: an upgrade to my aura's range, a chi-recovery accelerator, something called Dreamwalk that let me enter the dreams of bonded partners. But the BMW was already descending the ramp into the mansion's underground garage, fluorescent lights replacing the amber glow of the city, and I felt the familiar tug of dozens upon dozens of golden tethers pulling taut as I came within range of the house. My people were upstairs, hungry, waiting.

I dismissed the System interface and let the car glide into its bay.

The garage was vast, concrete and steel, lined with armored vehicles and motorcycles and the fleet of civilian cars Legion maintained for cover operations or just everyday life. My door was barely open before I spotted him, tall, composed, standing at parade rest beside the elevator bank with a tablet tucked under one arm and a smile that cracked his professional mask the moment our eyes met.

William Clayton. Oliver's son from the future, my Overwatch lead, my marksman, my schedule-keeper, my everything-I-forget handler. The man who'd been running my paperwork while simultaneously coordinating field ops and digital surveillance without a single complaint. I'd been leaning on him so heavily to run my life that the word *assistant* didn't even begin to cover it, and I hadn't even formally acknowledged that.

That changes now.

"Welcome back, Dennis." He stepped forward, the smile widening, genuine warmth flooding through his Rank Two tether. "Everyone's assembled in the second-floor dining room. Chef Ramsay's threatening to plate dessert as a main course if we don't start soon, and Harvey says he needs three signatures before midnight or the Madripoor subsidiary filing window closes. Also, Izuku accidentally broke a chair while arm wrestling Slade and feels terrible about it. I've already ordered a replacement."

He delivered all of this in one smooth breath, organized, efficient, anticipating every question I might have asked. My chest tightened with something that wasn't just appreciation.

I closed the distance between us in two strides, caught the back of his neck with my right hand, and kissed him.

Not a quick peck. Not a casual brush. I kissed him the way I kissed Frank, the way I kissed Scott, with intent and ownership and the full weight of what I was about to do burning behind it. My Aura surged through the contact point and I *pushed*, flooding his tether with raw golden chi, rewriting the delicate Rank Two threads into something thicker, brighter, unbreakable. Rank Three. Life Partner. Husband.

William made a sound against my mouth that started as surprise and ended as a moan so deep it vibrated through my teeth. His tablet clattered to the concrete floor. His hands came up, one fisting the front of my leather jacket, the other gripping my hip hard enough that a normal person would have bruised. The tether between us blazed like a sunrise, flooding him with the fifty-seven percent status boost in real time. I felt his muscles tighten and swell slightly beneath his clothes, felt the subtle restructuring of bone density and tendon strength, felt decades being quietly added to the far end of his life. His heartbeat thundered against my chest, accelerating, then steadying into something powerful and even.

When I broke the kiss his eyes were glazed, pupils blown wide, lips parted and wet. The golden light in his tether pulsed in time with his breathing.

"Dennis," he managed, voice rough. "What did you just..."

"Made it official." I kept my hand on his neck, thumb tracing the line of his jaw. "You've been doing the work of a Life Partner since day one. Running my schedule, managing my chaos, holding the operational side of this empire together while I'm out grinding points and playing God. You deserve the title and everything that comes with it."

His throat worked. The tether sang with a complicated chord of shock, gratitude, devotion, and a fierce possessive joy that I hadn't expected but immediately loved.

"I also got a new trick I want you to test for me," I said, and pushed him to his knees.

He went without resistance, sinking onto the cold garage concrete like he'd been waiting for exactly this, hands settling on my thighs with a certainty that made my breath catch. The fluorescent lights cast sharp shadows across his face as he looked up at me, and in that moment he wasn't just my assistant or my archer or Oliver Queen's future son. He was *mine*, fully and permanently, and the understanding of that blazed in his eyes like banked coals.

I unzipped.

"Tell me what it tastes like," I said quietly.

He didn't hesitate.

William took me into his mouth with the focused intensity he brought to everything, thorough and unhurried, and I threaded my fingers through his hair and let the Ambrosia Essence passive do its work. It took about fifty seconds before the first trickle of precum hit his tongue I felt the change through the tether, a spike of confused delight that crackled through the bond like electricity. He pulled back just far enough to speak, lips brushing the head of my cock, breath hot.

"It tastes like..." A disbelieving laugh. "My mom's hot chocolate. The one she used to make on Christmas morning with real cocoa and too much cinnamon. How is that even possible?"

His favorite. Of course it was.

Something in my chest softened. I'd expected something generic, coffee or whiskey or some expensive food. Instead I got a memory of childhood warmth and a lost mother's love, the kind of comfort that couldn't be bought or replicated, now literally on his tongue every time he did this.

"Magic," I said simply. "Now finish me off would ya. We have a feast to attend and I'm not walking into that dining room unsatisfied."

He smiled at me and went back to work with renewed enthusiasm.

It didn't take long. The combination of his eagerness, and the rushing high of his freshly forged Rank Three bond hit me like a wave. I came hard, gripping his hair, no points were given seeing as I was the only one to cum. William swallowed everything, eyes closed, making a soft appreciative sound that I filed away for future reference.

I helped him to his feet, straightened his collar, and picked up his fallen tablet. He was flushed and slightly unsteady, the aftereffects of the rank upgrade still rippling through his enhanced body, but the professional composure was already reassembling itself behind his eyes. He took the tablet, checked that the screen was fine, and cleared his throat.

"Chef Ramsay is going to murder us both if we're not upstairs in three minutes."

"Then we'd better move." I straightened my jacket and headed for the elevator, William falling into step half a pace behind me, exactly where a Life Partner walked. His tether hummed gold and steady in the back of my mind, joining Scott's and Frank's and now his, three pillars holding up the roof of everything I was building.

The elevator doors opened. The smell of roasted meat and fresh bread and something aggressively French wafted down the shaft. A hundred golden threads tugged upward, pulling me toward the people who were waiting, hungry and loyal and mine.

I stepped inside and hit the button for the mansion's second-floor.

Seven hundred and thirty points. A sale that runs until Monday. And seventy days of shopping left before the sky falls open.

The doors closed.
