Chapter 43 - Chapter 43 – Planning

~I no longer want to take my position back. I want to make sure he loses everything.~

1. A Morning That Was Too Calm

Moonlight withdrew, replaced by a blinding morning sun.

The six o'clock alarm rang like a small hammer striking the shell of my awareness.

I woke—

not refreshed,

but with a strangely weightless emptiness.

Since the incident with Suri, my mornings had always tasted like leftover poison.

But today was different.

The stress that usually clotted in my chest…

was simply gone.

I knew why.

Misaki.

Our conversation last night was not an embrace.

It was closer to a knife that sliced one knot in my mind—

only to tighten another far deeper.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

2. The Illusion Called Togetherness

There is a false calm when someone understands you.

Or at least…

pretends to understand you convincingly.

I began to enjoy this sense of togetherness.

The illusion that I was no longer alone.

If I were still my former self,

I might have screamed,

poured my hatred into mute walls.

But now I do something far more dangerous:

I store my hatred neatly.

Wrap it like a gift.

And wait for the right person to open it.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

3. I Am Not a Good Person

I am no longer a child who wants to save everyone.

I have wanted to do bad things.

I have imagined filthy things.

I have envied—

deeply envied—

Hiroshi.

And today, I no longer deny those traits.

I am only human.

With desires that are not pure.

My wish is simple now:

to return everything Hiroshi has

to nothing.

And this time,

I am no longer afraid of what I am.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

4. Misaki — The Hunter of the Past

When I first met her, I thought she was just a strange girl.

Quiet.

With a gaze that pierced through,

as if my soul were made of glass.

Now I understand.

Misaki is not crazy.

She is a hunter.

And the past is her prey.

How she gathers all that information—

I don't know.

And for the first time in my life…

I do not want to know.

Because I know the truth, for now, stands on my side.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

5. Hiroshi's True Face

Misaki's strength lies in tracing people's pasts.

I don't know—and don't want to know—how she does it.

What matters is this: right now, that ability favors me.

From the fragments she gathered, we reached a conclusion:

like Suri, Hiroshi is not truly well-liked.

But for different reasons.

If Suri is hungry for power—

to be seen, obeyed, placed above all—

Hiroshi is driven by something darker and more personal.

His attention bends toward urges he never restrains,

desires he lets grow wild behind a daily mask.

Hiroshi never changed.

He only refined his cruelty.

Behind the model-student facade

lies a disgusting collection—

hidden photos,

forbidden recordings,

threats tucked behind smiles.

His victims are silenced.

Not with violence…

but with fear.

And his position as student council president

makes everything easier—

connections, trust, access,

all lining up to smooth his hidden acts.

And me?

He framed me.

Destroyed me to crown himself a hero.

Now,

I will take that role back.

Slowly.

Painfully.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

6. An Unfair World

Honestly, all of this unsettled me.

If he is truly that rotten,

why has no one stopped him?

Logic resisted belief.

Behavior like that should breed hatred—

especially among the girls.

Misaki understood my confusion without asking.

There is another figure beside him, she said—

a close ally, right hand, mirror of the same rot: Sasaki.

Sasaki is just as depraved.

Reckless. Wild. Suffocating.

But the world gives him a shield—

he is the principal's son.

Their strength grows not from truth,

but from untouchable position.

I once thought time and distance softened people.

That Hiroshi must have become better.

I was wrong.

He has sunk deeper into his role as antagonist—

not just wearing the mask,

but enjoying it.

The truly unfortunate, I now see,

are those who absorb misery

and pass it on to others.

My thoughts hardened into resolve.

I want him to feel what he planted.

To carry the same collapse.

To fall slowly,

unmourned.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

7. Sasaki — The Crack in the Fortress

No kingdom is without a crack.

His name is Sasaki.

Friend. Right hand. Principal's son.

He is not just an accomplice.

He is a walking vault.

Hiroshi's files live with him too.

And there—

the monster will bleed first.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

8. Hitomi — The Unblinking Eye

The gap was exploited by Misaki's contact: Hitomi.

A photography club student.

Cold courage. Steady hands.

She recorded their filth

not for sensation—

but for proof.

Photography, to her, is painting with light.

A single image can replace sentences,

words,

feelings.

Three weeks of surveillance.

Three weeks of silence.

Until the sins were captured whole.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

9. First Confrontation

We showed Sasaki the recordings in a quiet street after school.

No shouting.

No drama.

Just a mirror forced in front of his face.

He turned pale.

He threatened us.

I froze—

but Misaki stepped forward calmly,

armed with words like blades.

She spoke of reputation.

Family shame.

Consequences that never wash away.

His hands trembled.

For the first time,

the predator looked like prey.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

10. Consequences

Transfer. Disgrace. Isolation.

A ruined school life.

No violence.

Just inevitability.

Misaki closed his future

with a sentence spoken coldly.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

11. Cracked Loyalty

Sasaki insisted Hiroshi would never abandon him.

But his face betrayed doubt.

With my permission, Misaki shared part of my story—

betrayal by a friend.

If Hiroshi could do it to me,

he could do it to anyone.

Sasaki understood.

He surrendered

in silence.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

12. Checkmate Begins

Data changed hands.

Victims gathered.

Journalists informed.

Truth did not explode.

It spread.

One morning, Hiroshi woke

not as a star—

but as a scandal.

He called Sasaki.

Sasaki vanished.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

13. A World Starting to Collapse

He tried to threaten victims.

But we were ready.

We were no longer seeking justice.

We were building a trap.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

14. The Unspoken Confession

I am not only taking revenge on Hiroshi.

I am feeding the part of me

born long ago in a narrow corridor—

the silent part.

The waiting part.

Now…

it hunts.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

15. Closing — The Plan Is Not Finished

This is only the first move.

Like chess.

One piece sacrificed

to tear open the king's defense.

There will be no winner.

Only ruins.

And I—

standing above them—

no longer certain

whether I am still human…

or already the monster I once feared.
