Chapter 2: making a deal
"Why did there do that to me? ".
"I thought we were family. ".
"Kevin could've just told me, if he wants to be king so bad, I would've given up on the crown. ".
First Simeon felt pain and heartbreak. Then it turned into confusion of why does his family wanted him dead.
"why did there tried to kill me? ", he thought as his life was fading away.
Then the emotions turned into rage and anger.
Simeon slowly opened his eyes and saw himself in a very dark place, it was so dark that he could not see anything. It was just like the sun wasn't in existence anymore.
"Am I dead? ", he asked nobody in particular, "is this hell? ".
"Hahaha! ", a very deep cold voice could be heard echoing in the area. "You are the first person I've seen that accepted hell so willingly. ".
"Who are you? ", Simeon asked.
"I have so many names. ", the voice said. "Some talk me Satan, but I prefer being addressed as the devil. ".
"Wow, so this whole bible thing was real. ", Simeon said.
"Ain't you scared. ", the deep voice asked kind of surprised. It was almost impossible to tell where the voice was coming from.
"Just answer my question, am I dead? ", Simeon asked.
"Nah, but you're going to die soon. ", the deep voice calmly. "Your body is about to give up. ".
"Too bad. ", Simeon said with a sigh.
Simeon started crying, thinking about how his life was taken by his own mother.
"So you really want to give up so easily. ", the deep voice said. "I'm quite disappointed in you. ".
"What am I supposed to do? ", Simeon asked angrily. "Fight with death or whatever you're, ".
"No. ", the deep voice replied. "I have a way more better offer for you. ".
"Hehe, and why should I comply. " , Simeon asked in a annoyed tone.
"Because I'm your only shot in surviving and getting your revenge. ", the deep voice said the obvious in an annoyed and bored tone.
"Hahaha! ", Simeon laughed. "Even if I survive, we all know that I'm not strong enough to kill the entire royal family. ".
"No, I'm going to give you great power that will make your enemies bow on their knees just by your presence. ", the deep voice said.
"Interesting. ", Simeon said with a pained smile, as he started daydreaming about taking over the world. Just to distract himself from his pain anyways.
"But nothing comes for free. ", the deep voice replied.
"Just name your price, I got a lot of golds to pay you. ", Simeon said.
"Haha, that's funny. ", the deep voice said. "I can't believe that you are so naive, for you to think that a powerful and ancient god like me will need your money. ".
"Okay, just go straight to the point. ", Simeon said tired of the devil's annoying tone.
"Okay, what I want is simple. ", the deep voice said. "All I want is your soul. ".
"Hahaha. ", Simeon laughed dryly. "I'm afraid to say this, but I don't think I have a soul. ".
The way Simeon was laughing, he was even starting to think that himself was running mad.
"So is that a yes. ", the deep cold voice asked.
"I need you to be more specific. ", Simeon said. "I'm not really good at solving riddles. ".
"Okay, so selling your soul to me is like becoming my faithful follower. ", the deep voice paused so that Simeon could process the gravity of the talk. "You will only have one task on earth, to kill as many souls as you can. Until you are strong enough to be my sword. ".
"Why me. ", Simeon asked with curiosity. "Why don't you give this opportunity to someone else--- someone stronger. ".
"I've been struck in this place for thousands of years now collecting souls, but I've never seen someone with this amount of pain before. ". The deep voice said. "And who told you that I don't have many other followers. ".
Now the devil was giving him a chance to survive and get stronger to take revenge. But all he was asking for was to kill people. Before Simeon will not want to work with the devil or kill any living being even if he was strong, but now he was so desperate to live long enough to see his enemies die and perish. And this was his only chance.
"Do I have a choice ? ", Simeon said.
"I take that as a yes then. ", the deep voice said.
A very bright light appeared and blinded Simeon's vision.

Simeon opened his eyes and saw himself under water.
A few magical kind of writing appeared in his front, but he didn't had the time to read or even think about it.
He was under water where there was no oxygen and he had no strength to save himself. His hands and legs were tied to a giant rock under water stoping him from swimming out.
"Sh*t, those b*stards chained me, so I can't swim out. ", Simeon thought in frustration.
"Am I going to die for the second time. ". Simeon thought with pure rage, anger and hatred. "Then why did I made a deal with that b*stard. ".
Suddenly a group of strangers jumped into the sea and managed to free Simeon, before he died due to lack of oxygen.
After swimming out, Simeon choked water and checked his chest to find no wound. That means his injury healed itself.
Then Simeon stood up to thank the mystery "strangers" that saved his life. There were looking strange like foreigners, all on black robes.
"Thanks. ", Simeon said flatly without any real sing of gratitude.
"No need for that. ", one of the strangers said.
Then another one used a small metal hammer to hit Simeon's head from behind, knocking him out coldly.
"He will make a nice healthy slave. ", another one said as there carried him away ready to depart to a completely different country.
The people were searching for a healthy young slave Simeon fits into it all.
