Ryuu and Rei go to school like it's any other day. But on this day, they know what will happen, so they brought Las pistols with them just in case the Valkyries will take longer than anticipated.
The school day is like any other at the start. Takashi still has his issues with Rei and Ryuu.
But Takashi as well as the rest of her classmates realize that something is wrong with her. She keeps staring at the front gate of the school.
With them watching her and where she is looking, they notice a man standing in front of the gate. They are too engrossed in what is going on outside, so they are scared when Ryuu flings open the classroom door and walks up to Rei.
(Rei, it's time. Get ready, I have already called them in as well as given the green light for the operation.)
She nods weakly at what he says and opens her bag and takes out a las pistol. No one else in the class understands what it is and why she has it.
Ryuu walks out of the class with the same las pistol in his hand. They see him walk towards the gate past the two teachers already there. But he does not make it in time to stop Teshima the P.E teacher from being bit and turned.
Ryuu raises his las pistol and fires. A red streak of pure energy comes out of the muzzle and strikes Tashima directly in the head, right between the eyes. Ryuu quickly does the same to the unknown man who became a zombie at the gate, killing him with no hesitation.
The other teachers around him freak out and fall to the ground in shock and terror. Ryuu turns around and looks at them. (Go back to the school and gather all students and Faculty to the track out in the back of the school.)
He says this while he points the las pistol at a few of the teachers that are slowly trying to get close to him with the idea of taking it from him. They all start to walk towards the school and carry out his orders, not from respect but fear.
While all of this is going on, 40 Valkyries and 10 Thunderhawk's that have designed for civilian transport leave the FOB and head towards the city.
4 Valkyries and 2 Thunderhawk's make their way to Fujimi academy. Their task is not only the safety and retrieval of civilians but also the eradication of as many zombies as they can before they leave.
The civilian Thunderhawk's have been designed to hold up to 100 regular people. They were made with only civilian retrieval in mind.
The Valkyries touch down and disgorge their squads at the same time the Thunderhawk's land in the middle of the track field.
The full platoon of soldiers quickly makes their way to the school to take up defensive positions so that the evacuation can proceed smoothly and under close guard.
The students quickly make their way to the new and strange aircraft under the watchful eyes of soldiers they have never seen before.
Rei walks up to Ryuu with Saeko, Saya and the rest of what would have been the protagonist original group.
(The evacuation has begun, as well as search and rescue of the people in the city.) Rei nods but looks just as scared as the rest of the students and faculty but not as confused.
The rest of the group look like they want to ask questions but Ryuu and Rei just leads them towards the waiting Thunderhawk's as the soldiers or as they are actually called guardsmen start to kill zombies one by one in the area of the school.
The Thunderhawk's continue to ferry people to the Fob, by the time only one returns its just Ryuu, Rei and original group from the anime and manga.
As the Thunderhawk takes off a screen comes on and shows what the city looks like. The scene is horrific. Smoke rises from unseen fires in the streets, the cacophony of screams, sirens and sporadic gun and las fire fills the aircrafts personal hold from the speakers.
6 Vendettas fly by on the screen as their tasking is to help facilitate the eradication of as many zombies as they can so that the extraction of civilians is easier. As the Thunderhawk makes its final approach to the Fob only one thought is on everyone's mind. The end of the world has truly come, and it came without warning.
But for Ryuu this was only the start of something far bigger and eventually far more deadly than he would soon realize.
