I stared into the space, deep in thoughts.

I sighed heavily.....
Where's Catrin? I asked a guard
bring her!! I ordered without waiting for a reply as i began pacing around the room restlessly, angrily.
Catrin arrived in a few minutes, looking at me confusedly, eyes looking heavy with sleep.

Did you by any chance.... reveal the identity of Sage to any one? I interrupted without responding to her greetings, masking my anger .

I became silent, if she didn't know, then what was that prophecy about???
I sighed, turning to look at Catrin, she wanted to say something, but she seems to be hesitating.
I could see it in the way her fingers twitch, her mouth opening and closing as if to force back words.
"Speak!" I ordered keeping a steady gaze on her.
I have nothing to say....; she replied, bowing slightly.
Do you need me to force it out of you?? I asked calmy.
For a moment she looked scared ...
"I found out that Sage is a seer, and i think she might be the replacement for Seraphine as the guardian"
What!!! I whispered in shock

How is that possible? The six immortals had always protected the crystal while Seraphine was being punished. How can there be another guardian? I asked, disbelief visible in my voice.
For a moment i thought i heard it, but it was there, a scoff, said so silently i would have missed it.
I stared quietly at Catrin who was now daring to look into my eyes.

"Your majesty knew very well that the guardian must never have an affair with anyone, but you were driven by her beauty....., she trusted you and you left her when she needed you. Now she is being punished with her daughter who knew nothing about this.....
Have you not heard....., that the crystal is missing, or do you want to pretend that you do not know the crystal is in Sage?

Catrin bowed before turning to leave, face blank.
I watched her retreating figure with a piercing gaze.
The only reason i haven't killed her yet was because she was the only one who Damaries and the other five immortals gave the power to remove the crystal.
