"Hiashi, did Hiromi do something?" Hiruzen was getting a bit angry.
Hiromi was going too far. Doing it time and again was one thing, but now he was using this as a means to threaten him, the Hokage?
Hiashi didn't stand up, and said with meticulous seriousness, "He didn't do anything. It is the Hyuga Clan that lacks the capability, and we are voluntarily withdrawing from the Police Force."
Hiruzen: "..."
Now his temper was flaring up, it was just missing a spark. And yet, you, the head of the Hyuga Clan, wouldn't even provide a spark? Are you that cowardly? Are you that afraid of Hiromi?
"Fine. Since the Hyuga Clan is unwilling to contribute to the village, then in the future, we won't bother the Hyuga Clan with holding important positions in the village."
"Thank you for your approval, Hokage-sama. I shall take my leave." Hiashi left.
Hiruzen could even tell that he felt a bit relieved and at ease. This made his face turn red with stifled rage, his whole body trembling.
A beast-like, low roar echoed faintly in the Hokage Office.
"U! Chi! Ha! Hi! Ro! Mi!"
—
Uchiha Clan Compound.
Shisui poured a cup of tea for Hiromi and smiled. "The Hyuga Clan has withdrawn. I'm afraid the position of the Police Force will fall onto the Sarutobi Clan once again."
"Hmm." Hiromi nodded absentmindedly, seemingly distracted and thinking about other things.
Shisui didn't blame him and asked, "Did you do anything else?"
According to his deduction, with the stubborn Grand Elder present in the Hyuga Clan, even if the clan members agreed, the Grand Elder would not be willing. It would probably take three or four more times, with the Hyuga Clan Members causing an uproar, before Grand Elder might agree to withdraw from the Police Force.
And this was only the second time. Although the destruction was more severe, not a single person had died, which would only give the Grand Elder immense confidence, believing that Hiromi absolutely did not dare to kill anyone.
Perhaps, he would even look forward to Hiromi causing even more severe destruction, so that the village would owe the Hyuga Clan even more.
The current reaction of the Hyuga Clan was too strange.
"Oh, I killed the Hyuga Grand Elder." Hiromi said casually.
"???"
Shisui, who was just picking up his teacup, didn't even notice his fingers being burned by the tea, staring wide-eyed at Hiromi.
"You... what did you say?"
"You heard me."
Shisui: "..."
He put down the teacup, rubbed his temples, and looked at Hiromi with a splitting headache.
He asked, "Did you really kill the Hyuga Grand Elder?"
Hiromi gave an "Mm" in response, drank his tea, and continued to be distracted.
About two minutes later, Shisui adjusted his mindset.
His voice was still a bit annoyed, but more so, it was earnest and persuasive. "Aren't you afraid of causing a war between the Uchiha and the Hyuga? The Uchiha of today is not the Uchiha of a year ago that was on the verge of annihilation, there is no need to be so reckless in your actions."
Hiromi said, "Konoha was founded by the joint efforts of the Uchiha and the Senju."
Shisui was stunned, and his feeling of annoyance couldn't help but dissipate.
A few seconds later, he sighed and said, "I know."
Hiromi said, "The Land of Whirlpools was abandoned by Hiruzen."
Shisui felt helpless inside. His shoulders slumped weakly as he sighed, "I know."
Many fuinjutsu from the Land of Whirlpools had even been quietly confiscated by Danzo and Hiruzen. The originals were all in Root.
Hiromi continued, "When the Fourth Hokage was in power, he was merely a figurehead."
Shisui: "..."
As someone who had made a name for himself during the Third Great Ninja War, he had served under Minato, so naturally, he knew this.
He looked at Hiromi with a weary heart and asked, "What are you trying to say?"
It was as if he were pleading, "Can you please stop torturing me?"
Hiromi looked into Shisui's eyes and smiled. "Nii-san, do you think those who watch all of this happen with indifference are guilty? Or are they innocent?"
Shisui's eyes widened as if he had been greatly shocked. "Hiromi, you..."
Hiromi's words, combined with his actions of killing the Hyuga Grand Elder, made it very easy for Shisui to reach a conclusion—he intended to kill every clan in Konoha.
It took him a full ten minutes to digest this information. Yet he still couldn't believe it.
He stared at Hiromi with wide eyes. "You... are you crazy? The Uchiha clan will be destroyed too, you know."
Hiromi smiled. "They won't. Trust me."
If he killed them, his missions would be largely completed, and he would become invincible in the Ninja World.
However, without a reasonable justification, he didn't want to resort to such actions. It wasn't because he couldn't handle being bloodthirsty or anything like that, he simply didn't want the Uchiha clan to stand against him. Right now, he was quite enjoying his life in the Uchiha clan.
Thinking of this, Hiromi sighed.
Sitting cross-legged, he leaned back on his hands, tilted his head to look at the ceiling, and said with some resentment, "It's just a pity that the Hyuga Clan isn't cooperating."
The Hyuga Clan was too cowardly. Their clan grounds had been destroyed twice, and their Grand Elder had been killed, yet they still weren't angry.
Damn it!
Shisui: "..."
It was a good thing they weren't cooperating. Otherwise, the Ninja World would have been thrown into chaos.
