Chapter 124 - Rin Goes Crazy

Hiromi narrowed his eyes, a faint smile appearing on his face. "Am I very important to you? Then, if I were to kill Kakashi, what would you do?"

Rin's already constricted pupils shrank even further. She was struck by a horrific fright as images of Uchiha Clan Members giving Kakashi eerie smiles flashed through her mind.

For some reason, she felt that Hiromi truly would commit such a demonic act. In her eyes, the smile on Hiromi's face was as terrifying as a devil's.

Hiromi looked at her as if he could see right through her and said with a half-smile, "You like Kakashi, but because ten years have passed, you've buried that love deep in your heart. To cover it up, you did the opposite and started urging him to marry. At the same time, you still hold a sliver of hope in your heart—what if Kakashi likes you and confesses to you because of it?"

Rin's pupils trembled uncontrollably, and her body began to shake along with them. It was as if her most hidden secrets had been dug out from the depths of her heart. Every word was like a knife stabbing down, making her feel afraid and shuddering.

Hiromi's tone was cold, like an evaluation given by a machine. "Rin, you are a gentle and strong girl. But no matter how gentle or firm a person appears on the outside, their heart is extremely fragile. Every day, they can't help but fantasize about beauty and long for it. This is human nature, and a biological instinct."

"But reality is cruel. Time will not wait for you, cruelty will not disappear, and the truth will always exist."

"Now, I can provide you with a few options for reference."

"One: tell Kakashi the truth and lead him to betray the Uchiha."

"Two: leave alone and search for Obito."

"Three: resurrect Minato and let him make the choice for you."

"Four: leave this place and live out the rest of your life in a daze."

Hiromi lifted Rin's chin, his blood-red Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan meeting her eyes.

"What is your choice?"

Rin's pupils trembled. She felt as if a devil was watching her, leaving her terrified and wanting only to flee. But for some reason, she recalled the little moments she had shared with Hiromi over the past five years.

She had secretly put yellow stains on the quilt, attempting to frame Hiromi for wetting the bed.

She had secretly filled a takoyaki ball with salt amd given it to Hiromi.

She had secretly made a set of clothes and lied to Hiromi, saying she bought them, just to see him make a fool of himself.

She had secretly...

She had secretly...

Countless images flashed by. Some were successes, some were failures, and some were instances of her shooting herself in the foot.

There was joy, anger, sorrow, happiness...

She stopped her feet from running away. With tears in her eyes, she looked at Hiromi with a gaze full of complexity and hatred, unwilling to believe it.

"Why are you so cold!"

She seemed unable to stop herself from wanting to cry again, but no tears would come out. She believed Hiromi was simply bullying her.

Hiromi did not answer, only giving a calm "Mm" before saying, "Then take your time thinking about it."

With that, he left the room.

The third day.

A girl with disheveled hair stumbled out of Hiromi's home, left the Uchiha clan, and left Konoha.

No one stopped her.

Without hesitation, she headed west, step by step.

Five years had passed, and the previous bandits had been replaced by a new group.

"What a stench."

"Is this a woman?"

"You're not actually interested, are you?"

"She smells so bad, only you could touch her."

"Maybe she'll be pretty after a wash."

"A mystery box?"

"Heh, this mystery box is interesting."

"I'll join in too."

The bandits walked up with quite a bit of interest. Then, under her Chakra Scalpels, they fell to the ground one by one, their eyes wide with terror even in death. Blood slowly seeped into the ground, staining it a deep red.

The road back then was very long. The road today was just as long, but even though she walked very slowly, it only took her five days to reach the border and see the Land of Rain shrouded in a curtain of rain. However, she did not go any further. She just stood there, as if waiting for something.

After only ten minutes, the person she was waiting for couldn't hold back anymore. But he didn't show himself, even the voice that spoke was that of a stranger.

"Are you lost?" A man's voice came from the forest.

"Come out. I won't commit suicide." Rin kept her head down, her expression unreadable.

The forest fell silent.

A few minutes later, the masked man walked out of the forest, hesitant and uneasy. When Rin's gaze fell upon him and that specific ocular power didn't manifest, he was overjoyed.

She didn't kill herself!

Rin didn't commit suicide!

However, his ecstasy froze on his face in the next instant.

"O-bi-to."

Just those three syllables made his entire body stiffen. His heart pounded wildly, his pupils shrank, and cold sweat poured down.

How... how did Rin know it was me?

"You... you..." He was extremely uneasy.

Seeing his reaction, Rin's last shred of hope vanished. She had desperately hoped that Hiromi was lying to her but she knew that Hiromi disdained doing such things. Yet, she still hoped it was a lie.

But now...

"Obito!!!" She couldn't help but roar out in anger.

"Present!" Obito's heart jumped, and he instinctively stood up straight.

"Why did you kill sensei! Why did you kill Kushina-san! WHY!!!"

A terrifying hatred erupted, as frantic as his own hateful roar when Hiromi had forced Rin to commit suicide.

"I... I..."

Obito's heart pounded incessantly. He was panicked, and his outstretched hand trembled non-stop.

Rin clenched her fists, suppressing her fury and hatred. Her gaze was terrifying as she stared fixedly at Obito.

The surroundings were quiet, but her will was firm. She stared at Obito as if she would wait forever to hear his answer.

Under Rin's terrifying gaze, Obito experienced a minute of involuntary panic before gradually regaining control of his body.

At this moment, he realized he was drenched in cold sweat, and he gulped dryly, his mouth parched.

"I... killed Minato-sensei because he didn't go to save you."

He looked at Rin with longing. "Rin... Rin..."

He seemed to see the wonderful life he could have had with Rin—holding hands, jumping and laughing in the meadow, feeding each other, snuggling together...

A smile couldn't help but appear on his face.

But all these fantasies were ruthlessly shattered by the figure of Rin rushing towards him. The Chakra scalpels covering Rin's hands were dangerous and sharp, slicing through the air, with fierce killing intent directed straight at him.

Obito hurriedly tried to dodge, but fearing that his evasion would cause Rin to hit the tree behind him, he had no choice but to use Mangekyo to freeze Rin in place.

"Rin, what's wrong with you? Did Hiromi say something to you again?" He was anxious, but even more furious.

His dream was to create a world with Rin. Now, Rin had returned from the dead, and she wasn't controlled by Hiromi, so she wouldn't commit suicide again. Now, he just wanted to live a good life with Rin. But someone just had to go and ruin it.

"Hiromi!"

It must be that he said something bad to Rin again.

Seeing Obito get angry because of her made Rin's expression even crazier, and her eyes even more terrifying. She couldn't break free, but her eyes were still fixed on Obito.

That monstrous hatred and fury made the surroundings incredibly silent, as if even the insects and birds were scared into hiding.

Fury made her voice raspy and hatred made her voice suppressed. The combination of the two made her go crazy.

"Because of me? Did I beg you to do that?!"

"You just can't stand to see me die?"

"Then where were you when I was controlled by Hiromi to commit suicide!"

"Obito!!!"

"You tell me, where were you!!!"

Obito looked at the incredibly crazy, hate-filled Rin before him, his Mangekyo unable to hide his tears.

"Rin, calm down..."

"Calm down? You killed sensei! You also killed Kushina-san who had just given birth! You even let Nine-Tails run rampant in Konoha, slaughtering countless people in the village!"

The hatred in Rin's heart made her crazily and recklessly want to kill Obito. Only death could release her from such torment.

Her eyes were wide open, looking as if they were about to pop out.

"Did I ask you to do these things for me!"

"Then you go die for me now!"

"Obito!!!"

"Go die!!!"

The crazy Rin made Obito's heart ache unbearably, finding it hard to breathe, and he couldn't help but clutch his chest and retreat. He didn't want to believe that everything in front of him was real.

"Why are you retreating!"

"For my sake, you killed sensei and Kushina-san, and let Nine-Tails destroy the village! Now that I'm asking you to die for my sake, you can't do it?"

"Go die for me!!!"

"Go die for me!!!"

Rin watched as that figure stumbled and fled into the forest, disappearing from sight, with only the faint, hurried sound of footsteps echoing, getting further and further away.

Her face was blood-red with madness, veins protruding, as she roared crazily.

"Obito!!!"

"I will kill you! I will definitely kill you!!!"

Once, the forest filled with her flesh and blood resounded with his monstrous fury. Now, it resounded with her earth-shattering hatred and raspy, crazy roars.
