That night, various sounds, seemingly a mix of painful moans and pleasure, emanated from Kuesumi's room. The next day, Kuesumi slowly woke up in the evening, rubbing her numb legs and aching lower back. Kuesumi slowly stood up, supporting herself on the headboard. She hadn't expected the four of them to gang up on her, leaving her a bit unprepared.
She almost… cough cough… almost ascended to heaven. Even now, Kuesumi felt weakness throughout her body. Those four rascals were too much! Luckily, Nanasai had gone to bed early, otherwise, she would have definitely run away while Kuesumi was weak, and probably even retaliated against Kuesumi on her way out.
"Good evening, Darling. Your voice last night was truly wonderful."
Walking out of her room, she saw Kurumi sitting on the sofa, drinking black tea. She teased Kuesumi.
Kuesumi gave her an annoyed look, then walked to the other side with her weak legs and sat down, pouring herself a cup of black tea to rehydrate. As for Kurumi's teasing, Kuesumi didn't want to bother with it at all. This one was just like that; the more you paid attention to her, the more excited she got. Ignoring her and letting her burn out on her own was best.
"Moo! Really, it's because Darling wasn't good, that's why it turned out this way. It's not my fault."
Kurumi saw that Kuesumi had no intention of responding, and as the mastermind behind yesterday's events, she began to shift the blame.
Ignoring Kurumi's blame-shifting, Kuesumi took out her magic book and began to recover her body. If left to recover on her own, it would probably take more than three days to fully heal. Those four rascals had no idea how to be gentle; they almost flayed Kuesumi alive.
"Also, where are the other four?"
While recovering, Kuesumi sensed that all four Spirits were gone. Were they afraid of her settling scores later? And this Kurumi in front of her was probably just a clone, left for her to vent her anger on? Well, that was truly considerate. She was just looking for a way to vent.
With this thought, Kuesumi had just recovered her physical state and was about to deal with the Kurumi (clone) in front of her when suddenly, the emergency protective barrier she had set up was triggered. This barrier was placed on each of the ten Spirits when Kuesumi first met them. She feared that her presence might attract ill-intentioned individuals to attack the Spirits in this world. Therefore, whenever a Spirit faced a life-threatening or chastity-threatening crisis, this barrier would automatically activate, saving the Spirit temporarily, but it would disappear automatically after only five minutes.
"I need to leave for a moment, it's a very important matter. You go inform your main body and the others that someone is attacking a Spirit. Be careful and stay safe."
"Understood! Darling, be careful."
Kurumi saw Kuesumi's serious expression, which was clearly not a joke, so she immediately knew what to do. She nodded at Kuesumi and instantly sank into her shadow.
"Fixed-point teleportation, activate."
Sensing the location where her barrier was triggered, Kuesumi directly activated fixed-point teleportation to reach the scene of the incident faster.
With a flash of blue light, Kuesumi disappeared from her spot, leaving only two still-steaming cups on the table, proof that someone had been there.
"Why? You gave me power, so why do you want to kill me?"
Miku clutched a constantly bleeding wound on her lower abdomen, speaking to the mosaic in the distance. If not for a blue energy shield that suddenly appeared from her body and blocked the attack, she would have truly died just now.
"The power was given by me, and now I am taking it back."
A flat, emotionless voice said coldly.
"I'm sorry, but this is the one thing I cannot give you."
Miku wasn't foolish. From the attack just now, it was clear the opponent was trying to kill her. That could only mean one thing: the opponent could only take her power if she died. This meant that no matter how much she begged, the opponent wouldn't spare her. It was better to fight for it; there might still be a glimmer of hope.
Without further ado, Miku directly summoned her 'Angel,' a giant pipe organ that appeared behind her, while various silver pipes of different lengths emerged around the mosaic.
"Rondo!"
Forcibly enduring the pain from the wound in her lower abdomen, Miku manipulated her Angel. Sound waves, one after another, surged from the giant pipe organ, attacking the mosaic. However, a scene that surprised Miku unfolded: the sound waves passed through the mosaic's body without causing any damage, while the buildings behind it directly suffered the consequences.
"How is this possible?"
Miku looked at the scene before her in despair. She had never expected this guy to be immune to her attacks.
"It seems that annoying thing is gone now. In that case, give back what I gave you, Izayoi Miku."
The mosaic watched the slowly disappearing blue light curtain and walked towards Miku step by step.
"No... don't come closer, you monster."
Miku clutched her still-bleeding lower abdomen, retreating step by step, but her injury meant she couldn't move quickly.
"Goodbye, my dear children."
Walking step by step to Miku, whose face was pale from blood loss, the mosaic spoke to her, about to make its move.
"I'm sorry, Darling. I said I could take care of you for life, but I'm so weak!"
Miku looked at the approaching mosaic, a strong sense of unwillingness rising within her. If she were strong enough, this situation wouldn't have happened. But reality left Miku feeling more powerless. Could she really deal with a monster that could kill a Spirit in one blow? Then, Miku despairingly slowly closed her eyes, quietly waiting for death to arrive.
"You have a lot of nerve, Takamiya Mio."
A familiar voice rang in her ears, pulling Miku's despairing thoughts back. The voice was too familiar. Miku opened her eyes in surprise, looking at the familiar figure, her eyes instantly turning red. Tears of happiness streamed down her face, and a smile curved her lips.
"Idiot! Hurry and leave, Darling! It's too powerful!"
Compared to her current situation, she was clearly more worried about Kuesumi's safety. She didn't want the first person she ever loved to lose his life because of her. As the saying goes, concern makes one confused. She completely overlooked the fact that Kuesumi could name the monster. Miku now only wanted Kuesumi to abandon her and leave this place, to stay far away from that damned 'monster.'
"Even with such a severe injury, you can still shout so loudly. It seems you won't die anytime soon."
Kuesumi said to Miku in a teasing tone, then turned her face to look at Takamiya Mio before her, with coldness mixed with killing intent.
"It's time for you to pay your debts."
Kuesumi said coldly to the woman before her, who was still unwilling to reveal her identity.
