Chapter 157 - Chapter 70: Liang’s Sacrifice, the Intensifying Plot

"The plan is going very smoothly; Father King, I'll take this country."

Mordred watched the army moving away from the royal city, a brilliant smile on her face.

Under the pretext of being severely wounded, Mordred successfully stayed behind to 'recover.'

Meanwhile, Gaheris and Gareth, the two Knights, were now pursuing the 'defector' Lancelot.

Currently, all of Britain was virtually strong on the outside but hollow within.

With just a little stirring, the oppressed nobles would immediately rally to make Mordred King.

"Give the order; begin the operation."

Looking at her trusted confidantes beside her, these were all trained by her Queen Mother, and were most loyal to her Queen Mother and herself.

King Arthur's 'contemptuous' attitude towards the Queen had made them all very displeased.

As Mordred spoke, the kneeling Knights below began to advance towards the residences of various nobles, clearly having been prepared long ago.

"Where is this?"

Zeus, who had just woken up, looked around in confusion.

The unfamiliar surroundings didn't resemble her bedchamber at all.

Zeus looked around, puzzled.

The furnishings and room structure were not from the palace; they seemed to be a mix of Japanese and European styles.

In this world's Great Britain, besides Zeus, the only other person familiar with this structure was...

"Is it Liang?!"

It should have been a question, but for some reason, Zeus was absolutely certain that it was her long-unseen fellow countrywoman who had brought her here.

"You're awake; come, have something to eat!"

Just as Zeus was thinking, Liang suddenly entered, carrying a tray laden with food.

Liang was in such a good mood at this moment; she had finally obtained the goddess she desired.

This made her feel like she was dreaming, but the figure before her told her that she wasn't dreaming; she had truly succeeded in 'rescuing' her goddess.

Zeus silently glanced at Liang, then took the food and began to eat gracefully.

Due to the strong absorption by the fetus, Zeus's body was currently at its weakest point.

Now, even the least energy-consuming teleportation magic was difficult for her to use.

"Speak! Why did you bring me here?"

After eating, Zeus elegantly wiped her mouth and looked at Liang, who had been staring at her, and asked.

"I... it's a long story."

Zeus's question brought Liang back from her infatuation. She had just thought about the dirty methods she used to snatch the Goddess back from that cold and ruthless statue. Thinking of this, she couldn't help but feel a little scared, afraid that Zeus would despise such a dirty and unworthy self.

But looking into Zeus's beautiful eyes, which were still fixed on her, Liang couldn't help but start confessing to Zeus. Her heart was constantly pounding, wondering if 'Vier' would still like her after seeing this side of her.

While the two were talking, Lancelot was at this moment filled with immense self-reproach, as she had inadvertently hurt her friend again.

"Lancelot! If you truly have a repentant heart, go to the battlefield and find the King. Let her choose whether you die like a knight in battle or commit suicide like a sinner. Let the King judge everything! She is currently rushing to the Roman battlefield. Go, Lancelot, don't let your knight's soul be stained with an indelible darkness."

The dying words of Gaheris echoed in her ears, making Lancelot sigh deeply as she looked at the sky. She then walked towards a tethered horse, mounted it, and headed towards Rome.

"My King! Accept my repentance!"

Thinking this, Lancelot spurred the horse's flank even harder.

After more than three hours, Liang finally shared her experiences of the past decade with Zeus, which made Zeus sigh with emotion. The time traveler (transmigrator) who was almost starved to death had now grown into a formidable figure. It truly echoed the saying, 'thirty years to the east of the river, thirty years to the west of the river, do not bully a young man in poverty.' Liang's changes over these years were so great that Zeus almost didn't recognize her, not in appearance, but in temperament. Her original youthful and vibrant demeanor had become calm and composed, with a hint of coldness.

After Zeus recovered, she told Liang to leave first so she could rest. Then, enduring her physical discomfort, she activated a teleportation spell, not to the palace, but to a pre-prepared delivery site. She had set up a total of eighteen barriers here to withstand the fluctuations of a true God's birth.

However, before leaving, Zeus left behind a 'corpse.' This was a dummy made of clay, and because it was mixed with Zeus's divine blood, it took on the exact appearance of Zeus. Zeus tampered with this 'corpse,' making it look like the arteries had been cut. It was estimated that only a magic user of this world's level would be able to tell, but unfortunately, Liang, whose studies were very disorganized, couldn't see through it at all.

"Since you are unwilling to be with me, then there is no meaning in my living."

Beyond Zeus's expectation, she hadn't realized that Liang's feelings for her were so deep that she would commit'suicide for love.' Ten minutes later, this beautiful villa was engulfed in raging flames. Liang, as if holding the whole world, tightly embraced the 'corpse.' Some black liquid tried to emerge from Liang's shadow, but unfortunately, before they could escape, Liang detonated her magic source, which enveloped the entire house, and the black liquid was also vaporized.

Zeus, completely unaware that she had killed her fellow countryman, was now lying on the pre-prepared bed, anxiously waiting. The contractions in her belly were becoming increasingly obvious. The last time she gave birth to Athena, Zeus hadn't been so uncomfortable. Why was this child making her so miserable? Thinking that she would spank her well after the birth, Zeus began to concentrate, fully collecting the magic from heaven and earth and converting it into divine power. At this rate, Zeus's child would be born in three days.

In another world, Poseidon, with a large bump on her head, was crying and dejected, like a defeated husky, tucking her tail between her legs and flying back to her sea realm. She swore she would never see that little devil Athena again; Athena was simply her nemesis.

Poseidon, who originally thought herself 'proficient in both literary and martial arts,' believed that she was much older than Athena and certainly more experienced, so she would definitely win. But she found that she was wrong, and so 'foolishly' wrong. She had no idea that Athena would come up with such a rule, which made her deeply realize that knowledge is power.

She and Athena had a 'pleasant' competition. If it were a battle of strength, Poseidon could guarantee that she would not be left behind. As a result, that damned child played such a game, and Poseidon was instantly dumbfounded. She asked, what is hide-and-seek? She completely didn't understand. Only after Athena explained it to her did she realize that it was a test of perception and concealment!

When Poseidon excitedly went to catch Athena, overwhelming traps awaited Poseidon. Because divine power could not be used in the competition, Poseidon could only swallow her pride despite her injuries. As a result, Poseidon suffered minor injuries all over her body, and her head was hit again by that cursed shield, and she lost.

As she left, Poseidon sighed deeply. She, Poseidon, vowed to tear that little devil into pieces to vent her hatred. Thinking of this, Poseidon covered the large bump on her head and returned to her sea realm.

"I will be your guardian goddess. My name is Athena, Pallas Athena. Remember my name. From today on, this place will be called 'Athens.'"

Athena, in the posture of a victor, flew into the sky and declared to the humans kneeling in Athens, awaiting the results.

Listening to the cheers in the city and looking at the beautiful sea, Athena thanked the girl who had made a promise to her in her heart. She thanked her for helping her find a responsibility to continue, and also thanked her Father God for his blessings. Mother God, where are you? Nana misses you so much. Nana will protect the humans you created and let them live happily.

Athena swore in her heart. She had no idea that she was about to have a younger sister from the same mother.

Moreover, this sister would bring her a lot of trouble in the future.
