"Ugh! So tired."
Zeus said uncomfortably, touching her increasingly large belly. Indeed, two children were quite a burden for her, and these two mischievous kids absorbed three times the divine power of her previous child. This meant that if Hades hadn't continuously transferred some of her divine power to Zeus, Zeus would have fallen into a deep slumber long ago due to the depletion of her divine power.
"You've worked hard, Zeus."
Hades, by her side, brought hot water and wiped the sweat-beaded cheeks of Zeus. Looking at the struggling Zeus, Hades's face was filled with heartache. She wished she hadn't wanted these two children.
"It's alright, not as difficult as last time. It's good to have you here."
Looking at the 'power bank'… ahem! The divine power supplier sitting beside her, Zeus's words carried no other meaning. When she gave birth to her previous child, she was almost drained into a divine husk; it was incredibly dangerous.
"Zeus."
Misunderstanding Zeus's meaning, Hades held Zeus's hands and looked deeply at the distressed Zeus.
"As long as you're happy."
Knowing Hades had misunderstood her, Zeus had no intention of explaining to this fellow, who was immersed in happiness and whose IQ was in the negatives. Because explaining would be pointless and a waste of her breath, and most importantly, she was too tired. When she was tired, she felt utterly lazy and didn't want to expend any energy on anything.
"You rest first! I'll make you some soup later."
Hades, who had evolved into 'Nanny Hades,' began tidying the house like an old mother. If those familiar with Hades saw this, their eyeballs would surely shatter in surprise.
Zeus nodded wearily and slowly closed her heavy eyelids. Anyway, if anything happened, she would leave it entirely to Hades to resolve. She currently didn't have the energy to cultivate either.
Watching Zeus, who had already fallen into a deep sleep, Hades picked up the book she had placed in the corner and began to read. If one ignored the covers printed with "Tips for Prenatal Education," "How to Guide Mischievous Children," and "On How Mischievous Children Grow Up," perhaps Hades would have appeared more like a literary intellectual.
"So that's it, I need to let the children know who's the boss at home, then they will be obedient."
"If not, physical conquest might be better, like a couple of whacks."
"I need to make them respect their mother, so they won't steal my position in the house."
"Appropriate intimidation can make them more obedient."
"I see, I've learned something new."
Hades said with admiration as she read the content. She now somewhat admired the people who wrote these books. How miserable must their home lives have been to summarize so much experience! Impressive, truly impressive.
"Oh, right, if I prepare gifts for these two little ones, will Zeus be very happy?"
"Will she reward me tonight?"
If Zeus were awake now, she would definitely scoff at this guy, 'You're thinking too much! That's impossible, go wash up and sleep! Don't embarrass yourself in front of me, your integrity is already in the negatives, wait!'
And why did you refer to your children as 'little ones'? You really don't care about your children, do you?
"Oh, right, I remember the Moon God and Sun God positions are still vacant. It seems these things should be in the Heavenly Realm right now."
"Giving these as gifts to the two little rascals should be good, but it seems I'll still need to make a trip."
Hey! You, the King of the Underworld, just called your unborn children 'little rascals,' didn't you? You definitely said that, didn't you? You must be resentful because these two children are affecting your'sex' 'happiness' life, right? It must be.
Thinking this, Hades didn't hesitate. She rushed into a room, rummaging through boxes and cabinets to find her spare black cloak. After patting off the dust, she put it on and instantly vanished from the spot. She eagerly flew towards the Heavenly Realm.
On the other side, Athena, who had just finished shaping a constellation, had barely let out a sigh of relief when she heard that someone had burned down the Divine Realm's library.
"Who on earth did it?"
Athena asked the kneeling divine servant below, her face grim. One must know that when Gaia was not in charge, she was responsible for managing the Heavenly Realm. Such an incident occurring, wasn't this a slap to her own face?
"It was, Supreme Goddess Hera."
"It was her? Why? What was she doing in the library? Why did she burn it?"
Hearing the divine servant's report and the unexpected name, Athena asked curiously.
"According to the divine servant who was on patrol at the time, Supreme Goddess Hera probably didn't find what she was looking for, got angry, lit a fire, and then left."
"I see! You may go now!"
After hearing the divine servant's report, Athena dismissed him, as she had important matters to deal with now.
"This Hera, it seems she can be used."
Recalling the unfinished constellation in her hand, Athena's mind spun, and she came up with a good idea that could both get revenge on Hera and help her complete her constellation.
"You just wait, Hera, I'll let you know the consequences of provoking me immediately."
Athena, with a dark smile, walked into her temple, scaring Nike, who was still eating a chicken leg, so much that she choked.
Nike frantically patted her small chest, swallowing the food stuck in her throat, and then shiveringly hid behind a pillar, timidly looking at her main god.
"What's wrong with you all? Is Ragnarok coming? Or has someone offended the main god?"
"So scary."
